football in this country would be miles behind where it is without this woman - both men’s and women’s. Quietly, bravely, and with absolute determination.
There should be a thousand articles written to celebrate her achievements in the game and at the PFA. Congrats Kate.
Thank you, Kate! 👏
Co-Chief Executive Kate Gill will conclude over a decade of service to Australia’s professional players after announcing she will step down from her role.
Since joining PFA management in 2015, Kate delivered a number of initiatives, including the first-ever A-League Women CBA, groundbreaking national team and league CBAs and leading the organisation and players through the disruptions of the COVID-19 pandemic.
We thank Kate for all she’s done for the organisation and the players throughout her tenure and wish her all the best with what’s next!

If you enjoyed last night’s Matilda’s 2-0 win against China ahead of the Paris Olympics campaign, check out ‘Trailblazers’.
The history of the Matilda’s through the generations and the fight for recognition and equality that has culminated in the cultural phenomenon that sees 130,000 Australians turn out for two matches in recent days, their 14th and 15th consecutive sold out games.
Incredible.
Out today on @StanAustralia
This is what happens when we cannot interrogate the algorithms and data that sit behind digital technologies. This is the very public canary in the coal mine that’s frankly been dead a long time.

I just learned that animals at the zoo get bored of looking at humans who all look and gawk at them in the same way. Many animals love it when people show up in clown outfits or other interesting attire. Keep that in mind for your next visit. – at Melbourne, Victoria
The old “if you strip out x and y” this is actually an inefficient charity line. No mention on effectiveness at all, because it’s harder and inconvenient. Lots of talk of inefficiencies without mentioning gov delivery would not see that additional private donor benefit. Lazy. – at Ararat, Victoria
Why I won’t be wearing pink to the Sydney test. From its donated money, MCGrath Foundation spends more on fundraising and marketing than breast care nurses. thenewdaily.com.au/opinion/2…
