Today is Remembrance Sunday in the UK - a day when the nation pauses to honour the men and women who gave their lives in the two World Wars and in conflicts since.
It matters because it keeps their sacrifice visible. The freedoms, security and way of life we enjoy were not inevitable; they were paid for, often at the highest cost.
The two minute silence at 11am, the poppies, and the wreaths laid at the Cenotaph and local memorials are simple acts that say “we have not forgotten.”
It also reminds us that remembrance is not only about the past. It supports those who still serve, the families left behind, the unity of country, and the veterans living with the consequences of war. And it challenges us to learn from history so that fewer families face that loss in the future.

People of my generation should be very careful when they're crowing about sending young men to war against Russia, Iran or whoever else.
Our lifetimes have been almost entirely peaceful - we have not had to watch an entire generation of young men marched off to fight and die in a foreign land.
We have been blessed with peace.
Yet some of the loudest voices demanding conscription or the dropping of bombs are men who will never be asked to fight. They have profited from that peace, lived comfortable lives from that peace.
It's very easy to be brave with somebody else's blood on the line.
There are circumstances in which our nation must fight, but our aim must be to give young men a reason to believe in that fight, to give them a Britain worth defending.
Because millions of young white men are looking at a system that hates them, that has made them strangers in their own towns, that has decimated their industry?
Why on earth would they bleed for that?
I agree.
Our establishment has spent years alienating young white men and now they suddenly remember their value when they need those lads to fight their wars.
Restore Britain's duty is to give these young men a country worth fighting for, certainly NOT another endless foreign war to die in.

I’ve now been invited by MP @RupertLowe10 to come speak at a @RestoreBritain and the Home Office is stalling my visa application, effectively denying me entry again.
France just banned our @SaveEuropeAct cofounder @MartinSellner_ indefinitely as a “genuine, present and sufficiently serious threat” to public order. Same thing: no conviction, no trial.
This is a dangerous trend of two-tier enforcement: restricting the movement of law-abiding European patriots who criticize mass migration, while third-world migrants enter, claim benefits, and even gain citizenship.
The British public deserves to know about it, and the only politician prepared to do something about it is Rupert Lowe.

I’m shocked….shocked that I’m actually going to say something positive about our justice systems. Vikram Digwa the scumbag murderer of Henry Nowak appealed today against the length of his sentence. He received a life sentence with minimum 21 yrs and incredibly arrogantly and it turns out stupidly, he and his barristers thought they could get that reduced.
Absolutely correctly, the appeal court disagreed. Indeed not only did they refuse the appeal they absolutely correctly INCREASED his sentence to 25 yrs. That makes the country very happy. At least some justice has now been done for Henry’s family and Digwa will be in prison until at least the 2050’s….great news.

A mother and father lost their child, their precious boy.
They will have to live every day knowing how inhumanly their precious boy was treated in his last moments. By the very people we are supposed to trust.
Live every day knowing he didn’t stand a chance.
They are subjected to a life sentence of grief. They wil never recover. Their hearts irreparably broken.
Your response to that. The police force is inherently racist and we should recognise white privilege.
