There is no perfect church, BUT there are faithful ones. Find one. Sitting at home isn't an option. Complaining isn't an option. Find a church willing to disciple you. Submit to it. Be harder on yourself than on others. Get to work, grow up. BE THE EXAMPLE.

The goal of the Gospel is not to affirm you or celebrate you in the direction you are already going. The goal of the Gospel is to rescue you and transform you to go in a completely different direction, for a completely different purpose.

Christianity is better than a list of rules, and more than mrerely believing right things. The Christian life is a life transformed by the gospel, experienced in community, and lived out for the glory of God and the good of our neighbors!

King Herod rightly understood that Jesus wasn't coming to earth merely to be a friend or a leading religious figure. He comes as King of kings & Lord of lords. Either He is King, or you are king, but your heart isn't big enough for two kings. So, how do you respond to Jesus?

Daniel could have prayed w/ his windows shut and avoided the wrath of the king. Instead, he opened the windows and ignored the king b/c he would rather die than disobey the One True King. Be a Daniel.
