We've come to the end of Charles's voyage in The Beagle. What would people like to have happen now? He could go round again?

Such a terrific afternoon at @stmarksacademy1. Year 6 has been investigating the adaptation of beaks in finches just like @cdarwin. Conclusions to follow. #ScienceInAction #STEM #Darwin #CharlesDarwin #curriculumforwales @BBCScienceNews @SciTechgovuk @UNESCO @reach2trust

What a scientist in the making! Getting ahead of the game with absolutely fantastic research done entirely at home. This weeks focus is on Evolution and Inheritance. @bcw_cat @cdarwin

So @bookingcom are telling us they're going to charge us a late cancellation … for a booking for a hotel we didn't cancel but did actually stay at in Greece a month ago. My advice: steer clear of @bookingcom

The first sight of the shores of England inspired me with no warmer feelings, than if it had been a miserable Portugeese settlement

I am sure the pleasure of living in the open air, with the sky for a roof, and the ground for a table is an inherent delight in man

Amongst the other most remarkable spectacles, which we have beheld - an active volcano

A traveller should be a botanist, for in all views plants form the chief embellishment
Other losses after a period tell heavily - the want of room, of seclusion, of rest, and lastly even of music

Many of the losses which must be experienced on a voyage are obvious such as that of the society of all old friends

No one would guess that this was the great market for the numberless oranges imported into England

I have too deeply enjoyed the voyage not to recommend to any naturalist to take all chances, and to start on travels

The Isld of St Michaels is considerably larger & three times more populous & enjoys a more extensive trade than Terceira
It appears to me that nothing can be more improving to a young naturalist, than a journey in distant countries
