I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: The ‘85 #Bears were the best football team of all time. They only did it once so they don’t go with the Steel Curtain or any of the dynasties. But for one year? They’d have beaten any of them.

Pete Hegseth removed Colin Powell’s name from a list of notable Americans, buried at Arlington National Cemetery. Hegseth also removed the names of every person of color and every woman on the same list. Only white men were left in place.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
No service members were permanently removed from the Notable Graves section from the Arlington Cemetery website. General Colin L. Powell is among those listed. arlingtoncemetery.mil/Media/News/Pos…

#Bears get their guy, solidify revamped offensive line that still can build through draft. Excellent news at Halas Hall.
Sources: The top center in free agency is off the board, as #Falcons C Drew Dalman is headed the #Bears to become the NFL’s 2nd highest paid center. Dalman gets 3-years and $42M with $28M guaranteed in a deal done by @SteveCaric of @Wasserman.

This was chilling. Grateful for 60 Minutes, its brave guests, Scott Pelley and Lesley Stahl leading interviews on what’s going down at DOJ, FBI and CFPB. Without fear or favor. Please make sure to watch. And share with everyone you know to watch. It matters.

Is it time yet to revisit all the early heralding of the internet's pure democracy, of the idea of "citizen journalists," of each and every voice being able to be heard being a good thing for our ability to find truth and govern ourselves? Because having spent a previous career in newsrooms, as part of the cold, organized monolith that was our gatekeeping mainstream media, I know that we were often too herd-like and centrist, sometimes misled and sometimes capable of publishing horseshit on incomplete or contradictory data. Sometimes we got it dead wrong. But every day, I remember that the editors read the copy and tried to verify what they could and avoid what they could not. And no one could pay us a fucking dime to say what we didn't think was the story we thought we had. Fact is, I once tried to sneak a piece of celery through some ranch dip at some politician's fundraiser because the guy was late showing up to make a speech and I was starving. Another reporter smacked it out of my hand: "That's Harry McGuirk's celery." We had an ethic. We believed in our role, however flawed and vulnerable to error our work product might at times be. So fuck the influencers, fuck the pimps who bought them, fuck their rancid whoredom, and fuck a media culture that has bypassed the gatekeepers at least trying to hold to a core ethos. The marginalization and eventual death of old-fashioned journalism and what has ensued is going to be what ends our republic. And everyone who championed some purist vision of a post-mainstream media future is now and forever, officially, a rube.

Alright I'll bite. I watched Caleb vs Oregon this morning and here's what I saw. He has flaws, he starred down his #1 read once and took a sack. He passed up an open read (went off schedule and nailed a 45 yard dot for a big gain), He got fooled by a late rotation by the oregon safety and threw into coverage unneccesarily. Each of those things happened once and the he had 25 solid plays and 5-6 unreal plays. And thats the thing. You can put together an entire 15 minute video on all of his bad reps, this applies to any prospect really, and theyre going to look like a terrible QB. But that isnt representative of his entire body of work. Saying "here's an example of him starring down a read" doesn't make that a weakness of his. Does he do this more than once? If yes, does he do it consistently? If yes, ok then its a problem. The Bears can't overthink this. He's the best player in the draft
Replying to @StephenLetizia
In keeping with the trend - Caleb!

The Cubs the last two nights: 37 for 86 (.430)! With 11 homers! That’s the most HR they’ve ever hit over 2 back-to-back games at Wrigley. Which has been around a while. The only other time they hit 11 in 2 games was at Coors on 8/10-11/2000 Luke Maile didn’t pitch in those 2
