Thank you @NYCSpeakerAdams @JustinBrannan @RitaJosephNYC , @CMJenGutierrez @NYCProgressives @NYCCityCouncil for fighting tirelessly to secure important funding restorations for 3-K. We will continue to fight until all New Yorkers have access to free, universal child care.

Thousands of families didn't get the 3K seat they were promised. @voteshekar, we need you to KEEP FIGHTING to restore ALL the @NYCMayor cuts to Pre & 3K, expand free full day/year seats, & reinstate outreach teams. united4childcare.org

This AM, @DOEChancellor said that 94% of families got a pre-k/3k seat, but that about 2,000 families are still being placed. Says the reality is some will not get a seat in the district they live in. This is a week after @NYCMayor told me families will not have to travel.

Parents and kids rallied today with our local elected leaders and allies. Thank you all for coming out and helping us deliver 6k petition signatures! @NYCMayor, you can't ignore all these families. Stop the cuts! Expand 3k and Prek!

We have the ability to provide quality childcare and early childhood education for every family in NYC. The mayor often speaks about what he wants to see done for these communities; why is he not backing that up with funding? Don't play money games at the expense of our babies.

"It is easy to see how mothers are affected by the prohibitively expensive costs of child care, but perhaps less so to understand it as a communal crisis." Check out this oped from NYUC volunteer Talya Wolf in @CityLimitsNews citylimits.org/2024/05/08/op…

Thank you, @NYCSpeakerAdams, for speaking on behalf of NYC families at yesterday's @NYCCouncil Preliminary Budget Hearing! We need @NYCMayor to restore ~ $400M in cuts to Pre-K & 3-K so families can stay and thrive in NY. united4childcare.org/petitio…

Thanks @MTA for the swift action and clear and frequent communication around the #7train delay today. Delays stink but this one was so much better than they have been in the past because of how it was handled.

After a cancelled flight and over 10 hours on the road, we arrived for our @hoteltonight reservation at 11:30 pm only to be told there was no room at the inn

TB infects 10 million and kills 1.6 million people each year. Join me in signing this petition to #fasttrackthecure and ask world leaders to commit to provide access to a new, shorter and effective 6 month TB treatment by 2024. secure.avaaz.org/community_p…

If you told me in August that NYC would hold months of in-person learning without major virus outbreaks while other cities barely had a plan to go back, I wouldn't have believed you. But here we are: nytimes.com/2021/02/14/nyreg…
