Today, Uganda's government has once again demonstrated its commitment to democracy, as evidenced by the recent Supreme Court decision. Our country's system of government is built on three independent arms: the Parliament, Executive, and Judiciary. This separation of powers is a cornerstone of democracy, allowing each branch to operate freely and ensuring that power is distributed evenly.
We commend President Yoweri Museveni for his leadership and commitment to democratic principles. Uganda's democratic journey, which began in 1981, has been shaped by the contributions of many revolutionary leaders, and we honor their efforts.
