Incredibly proud of Alex and the @GPTZeroAI team. My first exit 🥹
I'm proud that announce that today, GPTZero announced plans to join Superhuman.
When we founded GPTZero in 2023, the goal was to preserve what's human on the internet.
Today, that mission takes a big leap forward. Together, we're building an authenticity layer that travels with you, wherever you read, write, and create.
I personally have been super impressed with the team at Superhuman and I'm very excited to join forces to start this next chapter.
We are going to double down on GPTZero and its GTM, bringing our AI detector and hallucination detector to Superhuman's massive userbase, as well as creating products that help students and educators navigate what learning looks like as AI evolves.
Up and onwards!
At least from my read of the S-1 Anthropic is 4-5X overvalued, more if we see further regulation and pushback around datacenters. It may make a good headline and delay their IPO, but it’s not going to cause the AI bubble to burst. Time to watch Lovable, Replit, etc.
I have a banked reset that expires Friday should I:
75%Use it to do real work
0%Try to solve Kryptos K4
25%Build more silly websites

Replying to @deedydas
The entire list of signals is here.
To qualify, you need to have your seed or Series A led by one of top 15 VC firms and min 25 companies need to exist with that attribute.
This is why Olympiad medalists, Thiel fellows, Forbes 30u30, etc didn't make it.
Interestingly,
- Being ex-Tesla / Spacex is the strongest company signal. Frontier lab is higher, but too few samples
- Strangely, being ex-Stripe is negative. Not sure why!
- Caltech is the highest signal university, and shockingly Waterloo is a negative signal
- Almost contradicting itself, Technion is a very strong signal but being educated in Israel is negative
- Being a former founder, even an exited one, doesn't matter as much as you'd think. A part of this effect is a lot of small acquihires
Last one here, but I also wonder what Instinct is qualifying as a DAU right now. Because it texts you daily it’s easy to log an “interaction.” Something we as a VC community should be more rigorous in defining with text-based platforms, plugins (cough cough Phia), etc.
Another thought here: Instinct reminds me a lot of Jokr. VCs solving problems only VCs have. It’s a great product for tech/VCs/people who live and breathe SF. That’s one of the reasons I use it over Muse; it truly does feel like it fits the VC/tech lifestyle. But I can’t imagine a world where my lawyer parents in Denver or my non-tech aunts in Northeast Tennessee would ever need/want it
