“We’re gonna get you the help you need.” —Ft Walton Detective de-escalates an armed veteran in crisis.
Reports of a man in tactical gear, armed, and sitting in his car, were coming in from a Ft Walton Beach shopping center.
Retired Army veteran, Detective Collin Savoie responded, and took command of the situation.
He was calm. He never raised his voice, and talked to the man like a human, and was able to relate to the man, another army veteran, in crisis.
October 14th, 2026 could have ended much, much differently, but it didn’t.
Detective Savoie will receive the Medal of Valor, and Life Saving Award of the year on Nov 17th, 2026.

Seems like Microsoft needs to be investigated for abusing the work visa program and maybe other malfeasance.
Destroying the livelihoods of Americans and flooding our country with foreign workers is an assault on our country. Microsoft would be a great high-profile company to make an example of.

A Senior Director at MSFT (good friend of mine) just sent me internal messages between MSFT & some of its employees.
Today, Microsoft just asked THOUSANDS of its employees to voluntarily resign, despite just reporting $133.7B in net income for FY26, up 31%.
Employees are questioning why MSFT isn’t pro-actively downsizing by removing H1B employees before American workers.
Other employees are asking why any employee cuts are being made when profits are so high.
Fair question if ya ask me.

This is absolutely going to impact Washington States workers.

The 15% drop in the Brazilian stock market in one day and the drop in the Brazilian currency shows people trying to get their money out of the country as quickly as possible. People fear Brazil is descending into an authoritarian state. Any relationship to the rule of law is disappearing.
If, by the way, the same situation that just happened in Brazil had happened but with the parties switched -- if Bolsonaro had won last night's election and then a pro-Bolsonaro judge sent the Federal Police to seize Lula's passport and bar him from leaving the country -- every major western media outlet and liberal NGOs would be screaming about the authoritarian attack on Brazil's elections and the destruction of basic freedoms.

🚨Past 48 hours have been BRUTAL for Brazil markets after President Lula’s Win:
1. Brazil’s stock market index crashed 17.6% on Monday, worst single day crash after 2020 COVID news.
2. Shortly after the market opened, circuit breaker was triggered to halt trading, first time since 2020.
3. Brazil’s currency REAL plunged 11% against the US dollar, the worst one-day drop since 1999.
4. EWZ, a US-listed ETF tracking Brazilian equities, crashed over 26%, marking its largest intraday decline ever.
5. Yield on 10 Year government bonds surged by 300 points in a single day from 12.9% to 16%.
Before Sunday's result, Brazil was one of the best-performing global markets this year, gaining 38% after pulling in $5B in foreign capital.
Now, investors are dumping assets over fears of Lula’s expensive "tax and spend" welfare promises.
Markets are panicking that these new policies will explode public spending which is already at 83% of GDP.
With interest rates already at 13.75%, all hopes are on Lula to deliver fiscal policies that can stop the panic.

Flávio Bolsonaro says he was ordered to hand over his passports after 'losing' the runoff election in Brazil.
Bolsonaro says he went to visit his imprisoned father, who is the former president of Brazil, and was confronted by "Lula's Federal Police."
"I went to visit my father... As I was leaving, Lula’s Federal Police were at his front door, and right there in the middle of the street."

Bolsonaro is calling for the election to be annulled following a last-minute voting extension made by Lula's former personal attorney.
The New York Times reports that confusion over Justice Cristiano Zanin's last-minute voting extension could lead to the election being annulled.
When Zanin made the last-minute decision to extend voting hours, some polling stations had already closed and shut down their voting machines.
They could not reopen.
"Fernando Neisser, an electoral law professor at Fundação Getulio Vargas, a Brazilian research institute, said the election could be annulled if the margin is very narrow and it is shown that polling stations stayed open longer in areas that strongly favor one candidate," the NYT reported.
