There are ~7,000 paid GOP staff members in Congress right now. Most of them are active anons on twitter. A good chunk of them are about to lose their jobs, apartments in Washington, perks etc.

The whole Indian immigration debate is nothing more than a master class in gaslighting by the Indian government. The Indian government has fucked up its own economy so badly that recent college graduates are facing a nearly 30% unemployment rate. So rather than actually trying to fix their own problems they’ve figured out ways to offload them onto America, and in a way trick the American public into fixing it for them. And if Americans don’t like it it’s because “they can’t compete in capitalism” or “they just don’t want to work hard.” This is a problem for India to solve and it simply refuses to.
I don’t think American people would actually have a problem with Indian immigration if unemployment rates (including hidden unemployment) in India were in the single digits.

Sounds like the GOP better stop assuming our vote and get to work earning it then.
The entire Groyper opposition to Vivek is based on fallacious assumptions.
1. It is assumed that after 4 or 8 years of Acton, they will definitely be able to elect a conservative governor.
2. It is assumed that at no point across 4 elections under a likely 2 terms of Acton would the Democrats secure majorities in the Ohio House and Senate.
3. It is assumed that a Democratic legislature combined with a Democratic governor will not fundamentally transform our state like Colorado, making us permanently blue.
Some very bad assumptions indeed.
