Minister of National Security and Peace, Dr. Horace Chang, says if the trend continues, Jamaica will see its fourth consecutive year of a decline in homicides across the island. I had the opportunity to read an Op Ed published by PM @andyburnham this evening. Open minded dialogue is always a good place to start addressing difficult issues. My government therefore welcomes the positive engagement anticipated on reparatory matters.. My focus at CHOGM this week, however, will also be on our strong partnership with the UK on reconstruction and several major projects including the redevelopment of our national stadium and the historic bridge rebuilding programme.

There are many Jamaican families still waiting to have their roofs repaired following Hurricane Melissa. That is why we have allocated $9.65 billion to complete the ROOFS Programme and assist these families in restoring their homes. This allocation was not included in the original Budget, so we will make cuts to expenditure that can be deferred. We will not borrow to fund it. We have to make difficult decisions and prioritise the needs of our people. I highlighted three words that must guide our recovery: resilience, frugality and transformation. We must remain resilient, use our resources wisely and transform our communities as we rebuild.

Miss Gillian Hartley lives with her son, Sebastian and today they received the keys to their new home through the New Social Housing Programme. They had been living in a small, one-room dwelling that served as both their bedroom and kitchen. What touched me most was seeing the happiness on her son’s face. He was in such high spirits, knowing that he and his mother would have a safe and comfortable home. I am grateful that we could bring some relief to this family. I wish Miss Hartley and her son many years of comfort, happiness and peace in their new home.

#ONEPIECE1197 Yamato does know herself. She is/aspires to be Oden to protect Wano. ODA LITERALLY GAVE HER THE WANO PROTECTOR DEITY DEVIL FRUIT. There's an entire country of Okama whose self-love, despite who they aspire to be, inspired Sanji's Conqueror's haki.
#ONEPIECE1197 Yamato has ZERO “sense of self” but she’s still an ACoC user. She doesn’t deserve it until Yamato stops the Oden gimmick

I will agree though that Gov communication isn't strong enough and it's allowing persons to run with their own damaging narratives. An idiot will always fill emptiness with noise

I agree, the govt should publish the names of everyone who has received grants and benefits. Too many people accept assistance and then turn around and lie they received nothing. If people are going to spread misinformation about the govt doing nothing, let the facts speak for themselves. Unfortunately, knowing how soft-hearted our PM is, I doubt he would go that far.🫠
Replying to @chenae876
The government not communicating with the wider public, if it takes publishing the names and amount the each person in all the areas received, then do it, it's tax payers money so publishing the names and amount they received is quite appropriate.

I like this kind of video. Efficiency is a skill that can be taught. Many people genuinely don't understand what it means to work efficiently or realise that there are practical methods they can learn to maximise their efficiency.
