We will need much encouragement and it could not go to a more wonderful and worthy cause. Please consider sponsoring Sam and I as we walk 100km through the diocese in a weekend!
The Bishop of Blackburn & The Bishop's Chaplain are walking 100k in support of the Bishop's Harvest appeal on the 16th and 17th September. You can read more about it and see how to give by following the link below.

My pal Jason Manford has released Assembly Bangers in aid of @TrussellTrust. It’s a brilliant club anthem of all those songs we sang at primary school!

Today, as in all churches couldn't have happened without volunteers. We give thanks for all these special people and try to encourage others, but all churches are struggling after covid. Volunteers are so precious.

In our prayers today thank everyone who makes our schools work well and who help to create our church school family. In particular we thank our brilliant site supervisors, wonderful welfare & kitchen staff, fantastic office & after-school staff & our terrific crossing patrols.

In our prayers today we ask that we may make the time & space to listen. To hear from our children about their experiences of the past year, to learn about what’s motivated & excited them, to sit quietly as they reflect on what’s been difficult & how they’re feeling. To listen.
