I am taking my son @BrianForet and 2 of my grandsons to Casamento’s for lunch. I made sure I was 1st in line. Here is photo of line before and after opening. I’ll be posting during lunch. Recent publicity of being possible last year for present owners has business booming.
So much fun appearing on the panel with @MikeDetillier in 2015 for “Politics with a Punch”. Mike was a true professional. He will be missed.

It’s out of control. One Sunday I had to backtrack to I-10 at Bonnabel to get to Morning Call. After we finished going home, still blocked, had to use I-10 to get back home. Blocked for over an hour.
Imperiling the safety of Old Metairie and its population. Fire, police, ambulances, etc. can not get to where they need to go…
It is absolutely ridiculous that I am stuck, waiting on a train on a Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock in old Metairie.
We went uptown for lunch to celebrate my wife’s birthday with “TheBoss”, Miss Shirley. A powerhouse who knows everyone in Orleans & Jeff. She excels at making everyone feel special. Her restaurant, Miss Shirley’s, is spectacular! We are all truly blessed to have her as a friend.
Having dinner at my friend @FrankBrigtsen restaurant. We came tonight to get autographed copies of his just released cookbook, Color of Flavor, to give as Christmas presents for our children. He told me that he worked over 18 months to complete the project. It is truly beautiful!

“Young Johnny” just told us a great story about the legendary Cartwright’s contract to only drink Bud Light. There is no place like the Ye Olde College Inn, a New Orleans institution. 3 generations of owners here tonight.
My daughter @CourtneyFTravis is so talented. She meticulously made delicious chocolate legos for cupcake toppings for our grandson’s birthday. It’s her attention to detail that always makes his birthday parties so memorable. James’ Lego 4th birthday will always be cherished.
I took my grandson to Tic-Toc Cafe. His go to spot. Most “Metry” spot around. Open 24 hrs. Very, very casual. Good food at a fair price. Friendly service. Fully staffed. Lots of regulars. Diverse. Best run business I have visited in yrs. A snapshot of how America should operate.

Today’s Amendment 5, if passed, would allow judges the option of running for reelection until age 75. I knew when I ran for Judge that I could not run for reelection under the constitution. The voters will speak on the issue and I will be very happy to live with their decision.
Class of 1971 55th @JesuitNOLA reunion last night. So reflective to spend time with classmates who knew you before you lived your life. I loved hearing about their families and extremely successful careers. Photo from last night and one from 25 year reunion in 1996, 30 years ago.
