Great post Nicki. TAP’s Slope deal put a full $7M+ loan lifecycle (notes, liens, payoff, and release) on the Registry so everything was clean and auditable. That’s a real step toward what you’re describing.
Tom Arnold retweeted
Imagine owning a $1M commercial property and wanting to borrow $300K against it.
Today, that can mean weeks of paperwork, appraisals, title searches, legal agreements, underwriting, and coordinating between lenders, custodians, and registries.
Here's what that process looks like:
TODAY:
1. Find a lender willing to accept the asset as collateral.
2. Submit ownership documents and financial information.
3. Get the asset independently appraised.
4. The lender performs due diligence and underwriting.
5. Lawyers establish the lien or security interest.
6. The collateral is registered, pledged, or placed under the lender's control.
7. Once everything clears, the loan is funded.
8. Throughout the loan, the lender monitors the collateral and may require updated valuations.
Now let's imagine that property is represented by a legally enforceable token.
WITH TOKENIZED RWAs:
1. The asset is tokenized, with ownership and legal rights linked to the underlying property.
2. The token is held in a compatible custody solution or pledged to a lending protocol.
3. Verified asset data and valuation feeds inform the lender's collateral assessment.
4. The lender determines the loan-to-value ratio and approves the terms.
5. A smart contract can lock or restrict transfer of the collateral token.
6. Loan proceeds can be disbursed digitally, potentially in stablecoins.
7. The loan, collateral position, and repayment status can be monitored onchain.
8. Once repaid, the collateral is released. If the borrower defaults, enforcement follows the agreed legal and contractual process.
The biggest shift here? Collateral becomes easier to verify, transfer, monitor, and potentially use across lending markets.
An asset that might have been sitting idle in a traditional ownership structure could become productive capital.
This applies to far more than real estate: private credit, treasuries, funds, commodities, infrastructure, and other assets with verifiable ownership and enforceable rights.
Tokenization isn't just simply about putting assets onchain for no reason, it's about making those assets usable across financial markets.
The next evolution of RWAs is credit.

Couldn't agree more. Moving assets onchain is only half the equation.
If we want mainstream adoption, connecting and verifying accounts needs to be simple, secure and seamless. The technology matters, but the user experience will drive adoption.
Great insights from @zerohashx on @FINTECHTVglobal.
Assets are onchain, but the connections are missing. Transfers still mean copying 42-character addresses, with no way to verify the account first.

Hi Jason, I hear your frustration, and I understand why the history of TSNP and HMBL makes periods of silence particularly difficult for longtime shareholders. I don’t take that history or the money you’ve invested lightly.
I haven’t disappeared, and my commitment to building TAP Real Estate hasn’t changed. There is work that happens behind the scenes that we simply cannot discuss publicly until it’s appropriate to do so.
$RWAX waiting on regulation
Tokenizing assets is already possible. Regulation is the only thing holding it back.
@alexandersblume, CEO of @Two_Prime, tells @RemyBlaireNews major exchanges are already tokenizing securities, but without permissionless transfer or on-chain collateral use, “a lot of the value of the tokenization kind of goes away.”

The GENIUS Act is bringing clear rules to stablecoins, and the competition is about to heat up.
@vishalkgupta, CEO of @truemarketsco, tells @RemyBlaireNews inflows into the stablecoin world will drive more use cases, with players like Stripe and PayPal pushing new products, and "the most efficient will start to win over time."

The question isn’t whether tokenization is getting Wall Street’s attention.
It’s who will be positioned to capitalize on it. 👀

THIS COULD BE A MASSIVE CATALYST FOR @TAPinvest & @TAP_RealEstate $RWAX
The SEC just proposed a major shift in how investment advisers and funds can custody crypto & digital assets — including expanded flexibility around self-custody and the use of state-chartered trust companies.
Why does this matter for tokenized RWAs? 👇
🏦 Institutional capital needs regulatory clarity.
🏠 Tokenized real estate needs compliant infrastructure.
🔐 Custody is one of the biggest pieces of that puzzle.
For TAP / RWAX, clearer custody rules could help open the door to:
• More advisers accessing digital-asset strategies
• Greater institutional participation in tokenized RWAs
• More efficient custody of tokenized assets
• A broader market for TAP’s real-estate tokenization infrastructure
• Potentially MUCH deeper liquidity as regulated capital enters the space
And here’s the part that gets interesting…
TAP has been building the infrastructure for tokenized real estate while the regulatory framework catches up.
If the SEC ultimately moves forward with rules that make institutional custody of digital assets easier, the addressable market for compliant tokenized real estate could expand dramatically.
The infrastructure is being built.
The regulatory rails are starting to take shape.
Now imagine those two worlds converging. 👀
$RWAX could be sitting in a very interesting position if TAP executes.
This isn’t the finish line.
It could be the beginning of the institutional RWA race. 🚀

🚀 BIG for tokenized real estate & RWAs
@SECGov just proposed new rules making it clearer for investment advisers & regulated funds to custody crypto assets.
This removes a key barrier that has held back institutional capital from tokenized real estate.
@TAP_RealEstate (tokenization + real estate platform) and @TAPinvest (payments, registry & multi-asset rails) are building exactly in this lane — clearer custody rules = stronger path for more institutional money to flow into compliant tokenized real estate offerings.
Still a proposal (comment period open), but a meaningful step forward for the space.
