Exactly what we need in the absence of a functioning U.S. Department of Justice. An organization of ex-prosecutors and investigators who help can put cases together for current and future prosecutors who will restore accountability for corrupt federal officials and those who benefit from that corruption.
We are facing a crisis of impunity. That's why we built The Rule of Law Project — to investigate unlawful conduct by federal officials, and work with state and local prosecutors to hold them to account. Watch former DOJ prosecutor Mark Blumberg and human rights leader Brad Adams launch this critical accountability initiative on MSNOW with Nicolle Wallace.

🚨A Wichita, Kansas man who spent years preaching conservative Christian morality on Facebook has been arrested on a child m*lestation charge, and his past is far darker than his feed ever let on. Deputies arrested 50-year-old James Wells on Friday. Prosecutors say he fondled a child in August 2025, and he is being held on a $500,000 bond. This isn’t his first run-in with the law. He was previously convicted of similar crimes in Nemaha County. Kansas registry records show Wells was convicted in 2007 on two counts of aggravated indecent liberties /intercourse (r*pe) with a child. Those records list the victim as a 7-year-old girl and show lifetime registration. Meanwhile, his Facebook page was a steady stream of piety and politics. In 2013, he posted, “Let’s stop child abuse... Together we can do it.” In 2017, he used a profile picture reading “I Stand for the flag” and “I Kneel at the cross.” In 2019, his profile picture carried the caption “It was my sins that nailed Him on the cross.” In 2024, he challenged Christians to share a post calling drag queens performing the Last Supper at the Olympics did “ghastly and an abomination.” He also shared a 9/11 meme that griped about “Rampant Muslim immigration” and complaining that “Barack Hussein Obama”’s name is too Muslim-sounding. It’s always the conservatives who point the finger at minorities that are outing themselves as the real threats.

Grok says the best estimates show @elonmusk is responsible for at least 500,000 deaths so far and millions over the coming years due to his destruction of USAID.
Replying to @joshrogin
Reliable estimates vary by methodology and assumptions. A July 2025 Lancet study projected over 14 million excess deaths by 2030 (uncertainty 8.5-19.7 million), including 4.5 million children under 5, from an 83% USAID cut, based on historical mortality reductions. Center for Global Development analyses of 2025 spending put annual lives lost at 500,000-1.6 million. Boston University’s Impact Counter estimated 750,000-781,000 deaths in the first year. Actual totals remain uncertain due to disrupted data and other factors.

She got what she voted for.... Meet die-hard MAGAt and three-time Trump supporter Sandra Hafraoui, an administrative professional who spent years enthusiastically voting for aggressive mass deportations, completely confident her own front door was bulletproof. Her politics were beautifully simple: robust border walls, uncompromising immigration enforcement, and absolute faith that the MAGA machine would strictly target "the worst of the worst" while bypassing her comfortable American life. That blind faith shattered on August 11 at Newark Liberty International Airport when ICE agents intercepted her Moroccan-born husband, Abdellatif, as the couple tried to board a flight for a Florida vacation. It turns out the federal immigration apparatus doesn't pause to check your spouse's voting record before enforcing an in absentia deportation order left behind by a fraudulent lawyer who was federally sentenced back in 2013 for scamming clients. The exact system Sandra cheered on treated her husband precisely like the people she voted to expel. He was shipped across facilities from New Jersey to Arizona, subjected to sleep deprivation, and thrown into solitary confinement for 10 days for refusing a forced flight, leaving Sandra to scramble for a $15,000 bond until his eventual release on November 26 after 108 days of state-sponsored trauma. The staggering hypocrisy is a masterclass in political myopia. Sandra openly admitted she supported these brutal policies under the assumption they would only happen to other families, only discovering the cruelty of the system once it directly ruined her life and drained her bank account.

🚨Meet Lloyd Culver Jr., a Missouri MAGA man who portrayed drag queens as a threat to children and wants Bible readings in schools. Culver, of Rich Hill, now faces sodomy and kidnapping charges in Bates County after a complaint accused him of restraining and sexually assaulting a victim around October 14. The age of the victim has not been released. He’s being held at the Bates County Jail on a $50,000 cash-only bond and was set for arraignment the morning after local news reported the case. His Facebook activity shows a man obsessed with virtue signaling his conservative Christian morals, a plethora of AI-generated posts and fake news, plus an anti-transgender post declaring himself on the “side that believes in God, has the most guns, and knows which restroom to use.” It’s always the MAGA men pointing fingers at others.

Trump raped children. If he didn't the files would have been released. Republicans don't see an issue with that and that's why they're going down
BREAKING: BOMBSHELL! New report shows Trump intervened to shut down the Epstein probe and Kash Patel’s FBI is helping cover it up! In a stunning revelation, newly released emails show that Trump's deputy chief of staff was PERSONALLY INVOLVED in preparing the FBI's infamous memo declaring there was no Epstein “client list,” no evidence warranting investigations of additional suspects, and no reason to release more files. And when the emails were finally made public, the FBI had BLACKED OUT the five lines containing the White House's suggested edits! According to explosive new reporting from Raw Story, Taylor Budowich, then Trump's deputy chief of staff, emailed FBI Director Kash Patel two weeks before the July 2025 memo was released. “Have something I can edit?” Budowich asked. “Just got it from [the] DOJ. Here you go. Thanks,” Patel replied. The following week, Budowich emailed Patel and then-Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche with “Some suggested edits.” What did Trump's White House want changed in the memo that effectively shut down the Epstein investigation? We don't know. The FBI REDACTED the suggestions before releasing the correspondence. But we DO know that Budowich shared the draft with the White House communications team and then demanded that the Justice Department put its official letterhead on the document before it went to reporters. “I need a version on letterhead,” Budowich insisted. “Someone needs to own this. I can't give a doc to a reporter that could easily be confused with a [school] term paper.” Someone needs to own this! Indeed … Apparently, the White House was perfectly comfortable helping prepare the memo, but wanted the Justice Department's name prominently attached when the public saw it. And remember: This all happened AFTER Trump had been briefed that his own name appeared in the Epstein files. The memo subsequently told Americans there was no basis for further investigation or disclosure. “These records show that Kash Patel worked hand-in-hand with the former White House deputy chief of staff,” said Chris Swartz of the Democracy Defenders Fund, which obtained the emails through a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit. Rep. Madeleine Dean called the memo's claims “bogus” and accused Trump's team of trying to protect the president and his political allies. The White House declined to explain what Budowich wanted changed. Instead, a spokesperson regurgitated the talking point that Trump had been “totally exonerated” in the Epstein matter, although no such formal exoneration has occurred. We still don't know whether Budowich's edits were accepted or what those five redacted lines said. But Americans now know that Trump's White House was helping shape the official memo that told them to stop looking for answers about Jeffrey Epstein. Trump campaigned and won the election in 2024 based in part on his pledge to release the Epstein files. Yet once in office, his White House helped prepare the very memo declaring that Americans had seen enough. And when the public finally obtained the emails documenting that involvement, the White House's proposed changes were concealed behind FBI redactions. That is a betrayal of the transparency Trump promised his own voters. These emails expose the White House meddling in a decision that was presented as the judgment of federal investigators, dare we say covering up the crimes of the President of the United States. Full. Transparency. Now.

This Australian's reply to Trump's rant about “NATO not being there for America” is perfect. "Mate. You run a country with 600,000 homeless people sleeping on the street tonight. A country where 40% of adults can't cover a $400 emergency without borrowing money. A country where insulin costs more than a car payment and people are rationing it to survive. A country where medical debt is the number 1 cause of bankruptcy. A country where women are dying in hospital car parks because doctors are too scared of abortion laws to treat a miscarriage. You lock up more of your own citizens than any nation on earth. More than China. More than Russia. More than North Korea. The land of the free has 2 million people in cages, and a quarter of them haven't even been convicted of anything. They're just too poor to make bail. Your life expectancy is going backwards. You're the only developed nation where that's happening. Your infant mortality rate is worse than Cuba's. Your kids do active shooter drills between maths and English while you sell the gunmaker's stock to your mates. Your minimum wage hasn't moved in 15 years. You've got teachers working 2 jobs and veterans sleeping under bridges and you just spent a trillion dollars flattening a country that didn't attack you. And you’ve got a convicted felon, adjudicating raping, paedophile protecting, porn star shagging insurrectionist running the biggest dumpster fire war campaign since the Taliban in Afghanistan thanked you very much for losing again. And you're calling Greenland poorly run? Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world. Nobody goes bankrupt there because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because their insurance said no. 'NATO wasn't there when we needed them." When exactly was that, champ? September 11? Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU. Soldiers from dozens of countries deployed, fought, bled, and died in Afghanistan FOR YOU. Australia wasn't even in NATO and we still showed up. For 20 years. And you pulled out at 2am without telling anyone and left them to deal with the mess. So maybe before you start calling other countries poorly run, have a look at your own backyard, you spray-tanned aluminium siding salesman. The only thing poorly run in this picture is your f----- mouth." Credit to: Jim Keller
