Another one of my bills, S.8948A, has passed the Senate! This bill requires all e-bikes and e-scooters sold or leased in NY to come equipped with front and rear lights, improving safety for riders and everyone on the road. Proud to advance this common-sense public safety measure.

This year’s State Budget supports our law enforcement officers with two important measures for State Police Officers. We’re providing Critical incident leave for Troopers and ensuring corrections officers receive the full value of their pension if they pass away on the job.

This year’s State Budget takes major steps to combat auto insurance fraud and lower premiums for New Yorkers. We’re cracking down on staged crashes, “flex rating” loopholes and factors that effect your rate. This will create a safer and more affordable New York for everyone.

I proudly voted for this bill because true public safety and law and order rests on upholding the constitutional rights that everyone has, and I will continue to fight back against the fearmongering and false narratives being spread around this issue.
