I don't normally react to this account. But I rather feel there might be another factor here that is being left unsaid.
Conflict places more of the care burden on women and girls' shoulders. #Peace and security require more than their unpaid labor. Women and girls must be at the heart of peacebuilding. 🔗 See more on the @UN Secretary-General's report on #WomenPeaceSecurity: unwomen.org/en/articles/expl…
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Men/boys are the large majority of combat deaths in conflicts — omitted. Boys also do care work — omitted. Saying women & girls must be “at the heart” of peacebuilding is prioritisation, not equality. Higher unpaid care ratios occur because men are dying or fighting. justsecurity.org/104722/gender-… ukraine.un.org/uk/download/20…

Advice for guys... If she can't decide where she wants to eat, tell her you've decided, but it's a surprise. Give her one chance to guess where you're going, whatever she says, say yes and go with it. 99% of the time it's where she really wants to go.

Left-wing authoritarians are less likely to support physically strong men as leaders. The University of Arkansas found that political ideology predicts how people judge male leaders based on physical strength: - Conservatives, especially men, were more likely to support physically strong men as leaders. - Left-wing authoritarians were less likely to do so, showing an aversion to muscular male leaders. - Across all participants, stronger-looking men were perceived as more conservative, even though their actual politics were unknown. Researchers suggest this reflects evolved stereotypes: strength signals dominance, hierarchy, and enforcement - values conservatives admire but egalitarian authoritarians reject.

Habits from the habits guy. “Habits that have a high rate of return in life: – sleeping 8+ hours each day – lifting weights 3x week – going for a walk each day – saving at least 10 percent of your income – reading every day – drinking more water and less of everything else – leaving your phone in another room while you work” - James Clear
