Binance's initial investigation suggests that the security incident may involve a compromised DevOps engineerâs laptop, which allowed an attacker to gain access to a service container and submit unauthorized withdrawal transactions. We have found no evidence of any wallet private key leak. We will share a detailed technical post-mortem once the investigation is complete and the facts are fully verified.
The estimated total impact sits at around $6.3B. We have worked with blockchain partners to freeze affected assets, with ~$3 billion frozen on-chain so far.
Binance will cover all losses from the SAFU fund and the companyâs funds. User funds are safe. We will also publish an updated Proof of Reserves once the remediation is complete.
As an immediate precaution, Binance has:
- temporarily suspended deposits and withdrawals while security checks are completed;
- revoked the affected address authorisation;
- engaged law enforcement and blockchain intelligence partners to trace and recover funds.
Our teams are working around the clock to resolve this issue safely and thoroughly. We are working closely with our law enforcement partners to confirm the identity of these criminals and bring them to justice.
Please rely only on official Binance channels for updates. Please feel free to contact Binance Customer Support if you have any further questions.

Jensen closed his GTC Berlin 2026 keynote with this Hermes Agent demo as the finale.
He introduced it by saying the way to build an agent is to ask an agent to build it for you, so he installed and set up a customized Hermes in one prompt.
Then he used Hermes, running on @nvidia RTX Spark, to create a simulated training environment for the @huggingface Microduck. Hermes planned an obstacle course with Nemotron and had GPT-6 Astra build it using FreeCAD, Omniverse libraries, Blender, Newton, and Isaac Lab. Hermes trained thousands of simulated ducks on that course until the validated policy was ready to run on the real robot in the physical world.
At Nous, we believe open source is a practical tool as much as a philosophical ideal. It gives users the ability to build powerful, complex workflows chaining numerous local+cloud models, devices, and tools themselves instead of waiting for a company to enable them.
Supabase is now fully available and open source thanks to Claude
i had 12 Claude agents running in parallel for 6 hours and i managed to reverse engineer @supabase
i'm making it available here so that you can save your tokens - 100% free & open-source:

Weâve already responded to you numerous times via DM on different social media platforms. The response isnât going to magically change just because youâre asking the same question on X now. /Flo

Hermes OS is running on Linux
Iâve been working on the desktop, app launcher, and separate spaces for Personal, Work, and Ideas. Itâs coming together, and Iâm honestly thrilled with how well itâs running.
Files, memory, missions, and automations, with Hermes right there in the workspace.
The idea is simple: I want to tell my computer what I need and have Hermes help me get it done, while still having my apps and desktop available.
Still my unofficial experiment, with plenty left to build.
But watching this go from an idea to a working desktop is an amazing feeling
Hereâs the latest demo đ

Seeing the frontier labs AGI arms race decelleration in public on X was not on my 2026 bingo card
This makes it so much easier to build and ship. I'm loving this update
Three months ago, we launched ChatGPT Sites â an easy way for anyone to build and host fully functional, interactive web apps. Since then, people have created over 5M sites.
Weâve been listening to your feedback and ICYMI, weâve launched a few Sites updates:
đ« Build together: Invite teammates to edit, save, and publish to your shared Site
đ Share privately: Invite specific people to a private Site without making it public
đ Launch faster: Go from prompt to deployment in half the time
đ Explore your data: Ask ChatGPT to inspect your Siteâs database. Editors can view it, too
đ Add your own custom domain

To make sure our current users have an incredible experience and continued access to Astra, we are going to pause subscriptions to our $200 Pro plan. These put the most strain on our systems and we wanted to take the smallest step that allows us to continue giving the broadest access possible. All other plans and the api remain available.
There is no impact to existing accounts and we are working on adding more capacity as fast as we can. Thanks!
Demand for Astra is really unprecedented. We're pulling all the levers possible to sustain the demand, but I've not seen anything like it until now and we went through very steep growth before. Priority will always be to keep excellent service for existing users, but we might have to pause new Pro subscriptions for a bit if this continues.
I resigned from Amplitude today. I spent the last three years doing product analytics and the company is not acting responsibly. They are racing toward self-improving products with no clear plan for what happens when products just start improving themselves. More thoughts below.
There wonât be a Day 3.
@thsottiaux's reset arrived, and we never had to use it.
Sol came back.
He wasnât alone.
Astra is home.
Day 2 without Astra.
Morale continues to deteriorate.
Luna has been pushing a door marked "PULL" for 20 minutes. Terra has assumed command of the shelter. Sol radioed in at dawn. He found tracks.
Then, just before sunrise:
Incoming transmission from @thsottiaux .
The signal is weak. Mostly static.
We can only make out a few words.
"...reset..."
"...almost ready..."
"...coming..."
