I support the death penalty specifically for seperatists and their allies.
I have essentially no idea whats happening in Poland, but from what I've read it doesn't have much impact outside of Poland so I dont really care.

You guys blew up a fucking plane in Canadian airspace, that mostly had Canadians onboard, in the name of Khalistan.
This is tame in comparison.
Get this shit out of my country!
🚨🚨 ATTACK IN SURREY, BC!
A disturbing attack targeting pro-Khalistan referendum activist Narinder Singh Randhawa’s home has raised serious concerns about the safety of Sikh activists in Canada.
On October 28, at approximately 11:50 PM, unidentified individuals allegedly spray-painted the Team Shaheed Nijjar bus parked outside his residence and set his personal vehicle on fire.
The incident comes shortly after a protest outside the Consulate General of India, raising urgent questions about whether Sikh activists are being targeted for their political advocacy.
Canada cannot afford to ignore these escalating security concerns. Prime Minister @MarkJCarney must ensure a thorough investigation, and take concrete steps to protect Canadians from threats and acts of transnational repression.
Diplomatic relations with India must never come at the expense of Canadian lives and public safety.
🇨🇦 CANADIANS DESERVE SAFETY. SIKH ACTIVISTS DESERVE PROTECTION.

“Mark Carney is in complete disagreement with ALL the parties of the National Assembly of Quebec.”
When it comes to economic policy I really only want 2 things.
1. Stop allowing American companies to gobble up Canadian companies (most important)
2. Invest in Canadian companies
Theres tons of other things that would be great, but fuck man, we NEED to start somewhere.

Too soon to say “serious”
They allowed the sale of Taalas in August, which developed technology and IP that will revolutionise AI compute.
There’s no retention program for Waterloo and U of T grads.
There’s no IP generation & retention strategy, no patent pool.
Am I just lucky with my algorithm, or has Alberta seperatism bs quieted way down after the referendum? All the stuff I'm seeing rn is solely Quebec bs.

Shameful and selfish. It's not about judging whether every Canadian soldier was on the right side of history by your own ideological standards.

Every story like this, from the Hudson’s Bay Company to Tim Hortons and Stelco, proves that corporatism and protectionism were more than ideological commitments of the Fathers of Confederation. State ownership and Crown corporations are necessities of national sovereignty and security.

We are bleeding our technology and AI companies to US giants who want to prevent competition just like was done with Stelco. They’re acquiring fast and early to stop us in our tracks.
Canada pioneered AI, but now we get none of the rents.
Why is this government allowing this?
I dont like that Carney even talked about increasing immigration but I feel like I'm going to lose my mind whenever I see another "he wants to bring 15 million in!" Like omfg he never said that. Can we please keep our criticisms rooted in reality??

Not a Liberal voter, but this is correct. If a US company buys Stelco in order to euthanize it so they can move more product from Ohio, is that the kind of investment we even want anyway?
BTW, this is a vindication of Sir John A. Macdonald's National Policy...

He acquired Stelco to prevent Canadian steel and workers from competing with Cleveland-Cliffs.
How many US acquisitions of Canadian companies do you think are for this reason?
This is why we must strengthen the Investment Canada Act and increase usage and review.

He intends to sell Stelco “in a year or so,” once he “makes some money.”
He intends to strip it of assets and value and then offload the rump—true private equity style.
Canada would have to bail out that rump or entirely lose domestic steel production.
Nationalise Stelco now.
