we live in a world (Twitter) where, upon reading something we are surprised by, we, without faces to read, find ourselves stalking profiles. Then we can relieve ourselves: "oh, they're insane", "oh, they're stupid", "oh, they're a fascist".
the problem with not engaging further is the belief that we know what's been said. Would we, figuring it out, live peaceably? I doubt it, but if we do it right we'll move on to something better
people hating on the Rieu stuff didn't spend their childhood crying while looking at the faces of the people around them in worship
Memories worsen the climax I the worst excite. Upon each urge to reprove despair, Job's story returns and my shame is kneaded no longer. Trust patiently what worsens leavens, and I the worst of my judgment dread before bearing who's best.
Sounds like he’s a little too generous to how different this intoxication is even to the speech we to one another make, which might be why, for Whitman or Proust, “literature” can assume that task

For Bataille you couldn’t really substitute imagination for literature. It is literature’s ability to communicate (to the extent that this is possible) the mystical experience of intoxication and losing oneself that matters.

another day of reading TWA say things wildly at odds w/ his image: "Snobbishness toward mass media is idiotic. Only by changing the function of mass media can the intellectual monopoly of culture industry be broken; it cannot be accomplished by retreating into social impotence."
Do I love my distractions? Or am I fighting so he can love his interests? To an inward fall from a steady, declining slope he'd sure suggest before recommending I breathe, as if his 'truth' and 'beauty' without me could be other than doomed.
The rhetoric of my opposition, just as my rhetoric, stands upon a sociality sworn. The difference is where, to y'all, we place our value. Whether I your lie remember more or my weathering mistake explore
"The riot is, in this telling, always and everywhere illegitimate, which might not surprise us but for the initial claim that it has served "to persuade owners of the legitimacy of the laborers’ demands.""

"And hence shall Reverence and her kinsman Fear
Pass to each free man's heart, by day and night
Enjoining, Thou shalt do no unjust thing,
So long as law stands as it stood of old
Unmarred by civic change."

"Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
Matthew 18:18
It's the question that has always haunted me: whether what led us together mattered more than what we together could decide to do? To be diagnosed is to remember one name less.
