Thanks to Cerys Matthews for having Cities and Memory on her BBC 6music show this weekend - it was great to chat about disappearing sounds and the relationships between sound and memory, and spin a few favourite tunes. Listen again here (from c. 1hr in): bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m002z7…

Together, we will create a long-form sound installation that expresses the essence of “sanctuary” – where sanctuary can be found, how it sounds, and what it feels like. The final work will be presented in the Schwarzman Centre Black Box.

Can you spare ten minutes to have your say on how Cities and Memory is doing, and where we take the project next?
Every summer we run a survey to ask you all how you use Cities and Memory and how we can make it better.
Please fill it in if you can! 💕 bit.ly/CMsurvey26

These wonderful instruments can teach us a lot about listening - but what does listening mean to you? You have until 19 June to take part in Ways of Listening, whether you’re a musician, a poet, a writer, a filmmaker, a photographer or an artist. citiesandmemory.com/listenin…
The majestic tam tam isn’t just an instrument, it’s a bodily experience, teaching us about listening beyond what our ears can tell us, as Dame Evelyn Glennie explains to Stuart as part of Ways of Listening.
What does listening mean to YOU? You have until 19 June to submit your creative response, whether that’s music, sound, video, painting, poetry, drawing, photography or prose.
