Every day @costplusdrugs uncovers generic drugs that are insanely priced. If there is a generic that you can not afford , or that is charged for hundreds or thousands of dollars to your employer's insurance, please reply with the name and we will see if we can source it. Thanks

Vladimir Putin: “Crimea bridge explosion was ‘terrorist act’ by Ukrainian secret service.” What does he call the Russian bombing of innocent Ukrainians for the last 7 month?!? apple.news/ApHgpv33JTQGhPQwf…

FUNDSTRAT: We see a “base case projection for weakness into early October and a possible $SPX decline down to a maximum level near 3685. .. Such a decline over the next few weeks should form a trading low in early October.” - @MarkNewtonCMT

That’s not what they say on 📺 😂. Seriously, this tweet is VERY 👀-opening
Last three months have seen the two largest one-month increases in history of median CPI. Inflation hasn't been peaking, it's been accelerating & is increasingly broad-based. The Fed has its work cut out for itself. allstarcharts.com/plus-weekl…

That changes things. CPI above expectations on all fronts (headline, core, y/y, m/m). Headline y/y 8.3% vs 8.0% exp. Despite energy down big, Core CPI still hot at 6.3% vs 6.0% exp. The big miss was m/m coming in at +0.1% instead of -0.1% exp. Curve inversion deepened.

This is the 8th time $SPX has gained 4% or more in just 3 trading sessions since the correction started on January 4th. What do you all think? 8th time the charm?

Sometimes, there's a chart that just blows your hair back. In 22 years of doing this, none stand out like this one. Last week, institutional traders bought $8.1 billion worth of put options. They bought less than $1 billion in calls. This is 3x more extreme than 2008.

So, the reporting on the JOLTS data not being what the Fed wanted by people like @carlquintanilla is erroneous. Looking at the YoY growth of Job Openings & Hires and Quits (both negative), it's obvious that the trend for all three indicators are EXACTLY what the Fed wants to see

The average family health insurance premium in the US has more than tripled since the "affordable" care act was signed into law back in 2010. The biggest beneficiaries: health insurers. United Health Group (the largest US insurer) is up 1,864% vs. a 350% gain for the S&P 500.

VIX: an unfilled gap at the close yesterday. 95% of all gaps in the $VIX (up gaps and down gaps) are filled in 90 days or less. We're thinking Friday’s gap will be filled in a much shorter amount of time; sell the rally in the market. Become a member at worthcharting.com

Biden may have fist-bumped MBS, but Trump is in business with the Saudis as he hosts a LIV Golf event this week in NJ. What about Khashoggi? "That has died down so much," Trump tells ⁦@andrewlbeaton⁩. "It really seems to have totally died down." wsj.com/articles/liv-golf-do…

Talking w/ @SaraEisen at 3PM ET about 1) some of the big changes we made to our shorts (covered some internet ad shorts) & longs last Friday (sold $AMZN) following $SNAP disaster, & 2) some of the underappreciated risks (cloud services?) into big tech earnings later this week.
Removing $GOOGL from Top5 Picks. Unlikely to outperform S&P given 2/3rds of total ad spend online now vs ~12% during 2008/09 recession when total industry ad spend fell ~23% over 2yrs. Also ad share gains at TikTok $AMZN $AAPL & soon $NFLX. Like cash. danniles.com/articles/2022-0…
