🚨 URGENT: @the_andrey_x is in very bad shape. He has a concussion and lost consciousness several times while being detained. Settlers blocked the ambulance from evacuating him. He is now being held ALONE in the ambulance inside the settlement and is being denied transfer to a hospital.
HAPPENING NOW🚨🚨: @the_andrey_x @infinite_jaz and I were attacked by settler-terrorists in Umm al-Khair!! They beat us, threatened to shoot us, stole Andrey's phone and my glasses and pepper-sprayed Jasper.

A Jewish Israeli friend of mine, not a crazy radical, flew to Israel from NYC and voted (I'm 99% sure) for Arab. led party Ra'am. The crazy radicals voted for the Joint List. (I'm a crazy radical but couldn't go vote.) This is a FASCINATING moment in Israeli political history.

The divergence between DSA's national leadership and their biggest stars (AOC, Mamdani, Raman, etc.) is easy to understand. The electorate of the nat. leadership is a few thousand insiders. The electorate of the biggest stars are 10's of k on up. I know who I'm betting on.

Vote without Influence: A thread of the Palestinian-Arab vote in the Israeli elections: 1. Currently (after 93 percent of the vote count) the Palestinian parties in the Knesset are projected to win 19 seats (compare to 2015, when Joint List had 15 MPs).

If Gadi Eisenkot and the opposition bloc are remotely serious about getting rid of Netanyahu, and about Israel’s democratic future, they’ll do the obvious, strategic, and non-racist thing of forming a government with the Arab parties. A Jewish-Arab political partnership is necessary to meet this political moment, and for any shared future. haaretz.com/israel-news/haar…

If Israel wasn’t a Jewish supremacist society [“Zionist] then all the headlines today would be that Netanyahu lost and that a strong Jewish-Arab government in Israel that champions democracy and personal security can place a way forward

Did you criticize Israel's Central Elections Committee when it tried to ban the Arab parties? Did you criticize Netanyahu when he warned that "Jewish women from the left are leading Arab women voters to the polls"? Did you criticize the Jewish parties that said they would never join an Arab party in government? If not, I'd sit this one out.
Israel’s Arab citizens, men and women, are turning out in historic numbers to vote. They can vote, run for office, and serve in the Knesset, rights denied to many Arabs and women across much of the Middle East. Our critical ally in the fight against terror, Israel, is the only democracy in the region, and today shows it.

This is my family. I refused warrantless entry because the Fourth Amendment still applies when CPS shows up with armed deputies. I offered a welfare check without police; they refused. The next day they returned with emergency removal orders and took both of our daughters, including our one-month-old breastfeeding infant, and placed them in a foster home with a single father of 3 boys 😠. There was no criminal charge against us and no emergency. After an emergency hearing the court dismissed the removal order. Every major finding was later reversed as unfounded, and DFS abandoned its appeal. The damage—especially to a nursing mother and newborn—was already done. I have since filed a federal civil-rights lawsuit (Yazdani v. Mieszala et al., EDVA 1:26-cv-03365) over separate LCSO misconduct. Accountability for the CPS side is next. We are not the only Loudoun family to raise these issues. Sarah Legg (@sarahgracelegg) posted a detailed personal statement describing her own experience with the same worker: she alleges Kelli Hedrick abused her position, coordinated with law enforcement to have her arraigned while eight months pregnant (threatening jail, a fine, and re-education), and showed a pattern of manipulative conduct and poor judgment toward families. She specifically called out “deep concerns about Kelli Hedrick’s judgment, conduct, and influence on families and the local agencies of Loudoun County.” Read her full statement here: nitter.gq/sarahgracelegg/status/…

I have never seen Palestinians in the ’48 territories demonstrate the political clarity we are seeing in today’s Israeli elections. That clarity comes from enduring the injustice and repression of Israel’s most extreme government. People know what is at stake. The immediate priority is to get this government out. No one is under the illusion that the choice is between good and bad. It is between bad and worse, and that difference can cost lives. Over the past two days, I have seen the same sentiment expressed again and again on social media: if voting against Netanyahu can save even one child in Gaza from being killed, it is worth it. If it can spare even one Palestinian home in the West Bank from demolition, it is worth it. Despite calls from Islamic Movement activists in Israel to boycott the elections, turnout has reached its highest level in years. People have paid too high a price to settle for hollow slogans. They want fewer children buried, fewer homes destroyed, and a chance to live.

It’s amazing how the Palestinians are both the most invisible and excluded from Israeli politics and yet the most ever present, consequential and relevant.

Just so we’re clear here, the NYPD is full of cops being paid nearly $200k/year so they can take 6 months to look at a video of a driver nearly killing someone, and the only results they get over the course of those 6 months is figuring out the make and model of the car.

Abdul Sayed has never supported Islamism or advocated for any kind of violence. But here’s Eli Lake wearing a tshirt of Menachem Begin who led a Zionist militant group that bombed the King David Hotel, killing almost one hundred people.
Does the left understand how ridiculous it looks to claim anti-Sayed Democrats are more loyal to Israel than America, while simultaneously claiming that any inquiry into El-Sayed’s very real links to the Muslim Brotherhood is an unwarranted attack on his patriotism?

I’m in Israel now, and the news coverage of the massive collective punishment in Hebron is basically zero. Shameful self-censorship by most of the media, which has been going on for more than three years.

73% of your campaign donations go to consultants and vendors; only 13% goes toward ads. This is 4x the cut consultants made 20 years ago. Important work by @JakeMGrumbach and Adam Bonica on the capture of the Democratic Party by consultants. newrepublic.com/article/2163…

Meet an entitled driver who repeatedly drives recklessly, then covered his plates with Post-it notes to avoid camera tickets, then got completely defenestrated by Gersh Kuntzman, and then whined about it until I shut him up. Yes, it's a very special Criminal Mischief.
