If we've got to have leap years and a leap day every four years, wouldn't it make better sense to insert the extra day in the summer when the weather is better? June only has 30 days and so could easily accommodate another one. Good idea, eh?
Another sparkling feature together with a precious opportunity to purchase arguably the greatest golf book of all time.

Sussex Life's 'Book of the Month', no less. What next, the Booker Prize or, who knows, the Nobel Prize for Literature? (Ignore Jack Jordan and go straight to the foot of the page).

I struggle with technology but, all being well, Mortimer's Monday Missive should be going live next week (Jan 8) when I'll try to publish the 1st of the weary misanthrope's absurd letters to the first of 100 hapless recipients; assuming I don't screw up

Thank you @tonyjdear - some great recommendations and I'm humbled and delighted to see Grass Routes in there! ⛳️💚✍️. And a deserved shout out for @cliveagran's book, too; hilarious in person and in print!
Nice review in Links Magazine of the greatest golf book ever written. Although possibly slightly biased, I can't help thinking the order in which the contributor, the affable Tony Dear, has listed his 12 best books for Christmas is hugely significant.

Only the best meet the stringent criteria required to stock 'Two Ruddy Ducks and a Partridge on a Par Three'. I'm therefore thrilled Skibo Castle, home to one of the greatest links courses on earth, has joined the very exclusive list

THE book has made it into the top ten bestsellers. Okay, it's just the publisher's top ten but never mind it's a start. The one to look out for is bottom row, one from the left with the sparkling title, 'Two Ruddy Ducks and a Partridge on a Par Three'.

Really sad to hear of the passing of Tony Husband, who's wonderful cartoons illustrated my column in Golf International and, more recently, my book. A lovely, kind and gifted man. RIP

Without a sense of humour, #Golf could just finish us off, so delighted to pick up and explore @cliveagran’s marvellous, hilarious book of letters this week. A tip - don’t read it in public. They’ll lock you up. – at Donegal, Ireland
