Index service providers will always offer some free basic usage. HD multi-address wallets won't work, but single-address wallets will survive in the long run. The main problem with a single address is privacy. If we want both scalability and privacy, the answer is BRC-100.
This is why we built JungleBus. We have mined world-record-sized blocks, and we have seen wallets and indexers break because of it; because infrastructure hosted for free was not designed to deal with commercial scale. GorillaPool believes that part of the solution is that wallets do indeed need to be communicating P2P and avoiding the constant querying of data from the center of the network for global scale. However, as a mining operation, we MUST process all the data on the network as a standard practice of doing business anyways, so why not serve it back out efficiently? We choose to do this because we also recognize that the self-made billionaires of our age made their fortunes by properly ingesting, indexing and serving data to the world for a fee. These companies invented tools like Cassandra databases, and upgraded the underlying infrastructure of the entire internet in order to profit from serving data to the world. We intend to do the same, and have invested in this vision heavily. This is why we call GorillaPool the world’s first “Web3 ISP.” We believe that if JungleBus can efficiently sort, index and serve data from the center to the edges of the network, we can add extreme richness and abundance of validated data to bitcoin alongside the usecases that never leave the edge of the network. We also believe that when it becomes impractical to serve data for free, that will be the prime indicator that economic velocity has showed up sufficiently for us to charge for access to data from the center of the network. For now, use JungleBus to feed your light indexes, your overlays and your wallet infrastructure so you don’t have to run a full node client in order to serve your apps and your customers. junglebus.gorillapool.io

The HD wallet problem isn’t hypothetical. Once a Chinese BSV app reached meaningful wallet usage, it had to pay an indexing service per user per month for full recovery and address indexing. Costs scaled with every user. @ProjectBabbage
What do you all think about this BRC? Is a blockchain some magical database in the sky that you can rely on to store data you put on-chain forever with no additional charges besides the tx fee? Why would platforms like WhatsOnChain keep providing access to that data for free when there are tangible costs associated with doing so?

Even BSV?
Saw some comments about my post on this topic 👇 🤣 1. I am always supportive of any blockchain making any progress in any country. BTC, ETH, BNB, XRP, SOL, HYPE, ZEC, SIGN, all stablecoins, etc, you name it... 2. I was happy that SOL can advertise and get an office in Shanghai. It would open the path for others to follow. It would also indicate that "China unbanned crypto", which would be positive news for all of us. But alas, that's not quite the case yet, it seems... 3. My X post was not the trigger. It's now emerged that the Bund building ad was taken down within 10 minutes. (If you don't know, China monitors speech and media in real-time.) I only saw it on X 12-24 hours after the fact. 4. Regardless of the outcome, it's good effort. Keep building and keep pushing adoption.

Great talk
I'm American. I feel the lack of access to BSV on US exchanges as much as anyone. But access and liquidity aren't just an American problem. It's a global one, we've known it for a long time, and we're doing something about it. A lot is happening behind the scenes: exchanges coming on board, in some cases back on board, with real liquidity. Could the Association do a better job of telling you about it? Absolutely. We own that. Mistakes were made that contributed to BSV getting delisted in the first place. Not all of those decisions were made by the people here today, but the community paid for them, and we have to own them. A group of people organizing for the good of BSV in the USA, not waiting for someone else to fix things, is exactly the energy this community (and Americans in general!) runs on. I'd love to be part of it. But exchanges were never the whole point. Bitcoin was never just about speculation, buying and holding, and watching a chart. It's about use. The only way Bitcoin succeeds is if this kind of energy goes into building applications on top of the protocol, things we all want to use and build with. We can't lose sight of that mission. And let me be clear: the entire point of Bitcoin is that there is no king. By locking the protocol, no single entity can alter the foundation we're building on. Not the Association, not anyone. Nobody needs our permission to build, organize, or fight for it. The Association is simply people acting in the best interest of BSV, and for the first time, it's run by people who've been in the trenches with all of you. You're going to see a lot more of what that means very soon. That's why opening twitter and seeing a rebrand push is frustrating. Not because anyone needed to ask us, but because contacting CoinMarketCap and others to rename BSV, without talking to the rest of the people working on the same problems, doesnt feel super productive. Telegram, email, or DM me here. Nobody should be afraid to reach out. We're also starting working groups where people can build together. An effort like this could live under one of them. Not joining something we run, but being part of something we're all building. The oldest way to kill a movement is to splinter it. A new name and ticker just tells the world we can't agree on who we are. We're stronger together. Let's build solutions together.

I love BRC-100 and the new BSV stack. I've shipped several live products on it, real users, real sats, every day. The primitives are the best in crypto. But the complexity isn't encapsulated yet. Reorgs, mempool rules, what a tx status means, a wallet's coins drifting from the chain, and limits we're putting on users that they never see until something breaks. Every app dev meets all of it in production, alone. That's not a knock on the builders. They fix what you bring them,... fast. The hard part is that nobody has tried to put their hands around the whole thing yet. There's no way to reproduce every edge case fast and cheaply, so each one gets found in production, once per team. Other chains closed this gap with worse primitives and more hands. We can close it with better primitives and fewer, if the machine gets written down once so humans and agents can build on it and test against it. I'm going to do that. All of it if I have to. Interested in how? Interested in ways you can help? Interested in increasing the productivity and efficiency of your team by 100x? Don't reply. Call me. No excuses. BRC-100 should be the best in the world.

“operating a chain focused exclusively on consumer crypto has ultimately proven to be unsustainable as a standalone model.”
Abstract is winding down. Starting today, all of @IglooInc's focus will go towards taking Pudgy Penguins, Pudgy NFTs, and $PENGU to the next level. When we acquired Frame in the summer of 2024, the vision was to build the blockchain for consumer crypto. Pudgy Penguins had shown us what it meant to reach the masses, and we believed we could bring that same approach to building a chain. Abstract achieved a lot in a short period of time; we built the Portal and AGW, onboarded major global brands, amassed over 300 million transactions, and grew a vibrant onchain ecosystem.  The journey became stifled by the lack of a DeFi ecosystem, insufficient liquidity, minimal institutional cross-over, and prohibitively high costs that impeded growth in winning areas. Unknown to most, Igloo, Inc. had been funding Abstract over the last 18 months. After losing tens of millions of dollars over two years, building consumer products, assembling an all-star team, onboarding some of the biggest brands in the world, and building a community of millions, we still had not found product-market fit. In combination with the market's reduced appetite for what we had built and not being able to find a scalable path forward, we could no longer justify taking from the Pudgy Penguins business. Igloo, Inc. has always been a community-first company. Even after losing 8 figures, we could have launched a token or pursued an ICO. Ultimately we decided against this. A token only works if there is something driving demand to it, and launching a token that we don’t have conviction in would have been a disservice to our community. The entire team at Abstract has worked tirelessly with a tremendous amount of passion to make the consumer crypto vision come true. I cannot fault a single one of them for this outcome. To the Abstract community, I want to thank all of you for sticking by our side on this long journey and for continuing to champion us. You supported us through all of the ups and downs, and I wish the result could have been different. There will be many that will find satisfaction in seeing this shut down, and that is fine. I take a great amount of pride in having the ambition to venture into the chain business, notoriously one of the most difficult to make work, and the only regret I have is not being able to celebrate a win alongside the Abstract community. As we wind down Abstract, our full focus shifts to making Pudgy Penguins into the global & cultural phenomenon I know it can become.  Return to Pudgy Penguins.

Great. Design software for Agent.
Why yes, of course SpiffyVault Desktop has a built-in MCP server scoped to a wallet you choose and set spending limits for your agent on.

web3co2.com/ Every Proof-of-Work transaction has a real carbon cost. WEB3CO2 measures it from live network data — and reveals how radically that cost differs between blockchains. It's 5,832 × more carbon-efficient to transact on BSV than BTC. @SmartLedgerTech

As a non-dev, I made a cold wallet, built and audited with Fable 5.1. It works smoothly, but I still feel uneasy about its security. If there were a reliable alternative, I wouldn't have built it. I'm still waiting for reliable ones to be developed so I can gladly scrap mine.
