Trump forced 12 year olds to perform lesbian sex acts for him.
That seems important.

The $47 million price tag to build an elevated bikeway along PCH includes the relocation of utilities, planting of trees and reconfiguring the road, which would lose two lanes. CalTrans says it's not necessarily too expensive: lbwatchdog.com/p/early-suppo…
For most new homes in Long Beach, the city’s parking mandates force home builders to include at least one and a half parking spaces for a one-bedroom apartment, and two spaces if it’s a two-bedroom. It doesn’t matter if the person who lives there owns a car or will drive or not
These mandates might seem reasonable, but they are not only a barrier to building affordable housing, but also adds drivers and forces new buildings to be huge and out of scale of the neighborhood character More at @SignalTribune sigtrib.com/op-ed-parking-ma…
The Building Safer Streets Act sounds like a good bill that @RepRobertGarcia can work on with his friends in the Senate
Nearly half of the 2020-21 fatal crashes in Long Beach are missing from state and federal data. That leaves our streets looking less dangerous than they are, and LB losing funding to make them safer
I go into how this could have happened and what that means at @LONGBEACHIZE

If people don’t want to save transit to stop millions of people from being stranded, do it to stop forcing millions more back into cars and making traffic worse.
As a strong supporter of public transit, I’m proud to lead a group of CA Congressmembers writing to @GavinNewsom + Legislative Leaders supporting transit investments in the state budget. Good transit policy is good climate + housing policy.

Adding parking makes new drivers, more climate pollution and homes more expensive. Removing parking mandates is important to fixing so many problems we face.
Like @RobertGarcia said "It's good housing and climate policy"

Forced and mandatory parking minimums are contributing to our housing and climate crisis. Outdated parking standards need major reform in downtown cores and along impacted rail and transit lines. We are working on a major federal bill to address this challenge.
It’s great to see speeds dropping across the city, but we should focus on the most dangerous streets first
Really great piece from @coboms re: speed reductions in LB. Between 2009 and 2021, 75% of crashes happened on streets where the city isn't changing the speed.
Twenty is plenty on neighborhood streets. Period.

Car traffic makes buses unreliable, making this bus rider think about driving to get to class on time. That's another car on the road, making traffic worse & buses more unreliable. Its why making driving easier and adding parking makes people drive more & doesn't fix traffic
"The LA Metro 266 bus makes me late to my Tuesday/Thursday class almost once a week. I was already late to class at least five times by the time midterms were here."

Rex's leadership with the Artesia Great Blvd has resulted in one of the most ambitious safe street projects going on in Long Beach. Bringing this vision to the rest of the city will give us more walkable streets, less speeding, and safe places for everyone

One of the vehicles in this photo is speed-limited, has a curfew, and is restricted from certain zones for the sake of pedestrian safety.
Hell yeah. Parking minimums make more drivers, drive up the cost of housing and make cities generally a worse place to live. This is a great move by @GavinNewsom
CA is making housing cheaper & easier to build by eliminating parking requirements for new housing near transit and daily destinations like jobs, grocery stores, & schools.
Thanks to the work of @laurafriedman43, we’re prioritizing people and the planet over cars.
