Hozier called on the Irish government to approve visa applications for students in Gaza during a surprise appearance at the first show of Macklemore’s “Free Palestine” tour:
“55 students in Gaza who are awaiting for their visas to be approved for scholarship places they earned and are waiting for them here in Ireland. And the government has no approved their visa applications… It’s baffling why it hasn’t been solved yet, but if you want to sign a petition, there it is behind me on the screen.”

당시 나이 겨우 18살로 섹시가 뭔지도 전혀 몰랐고 무대에서 왜 지퍼를 여는 퍼포먼스를 해야 하는지 이해조차 가지 않았음. 심지어 연애 경험도 전혀 없을 때였는데 섹시 콘셉트가 대박 터지면서 자신이 잘하지도 못하고 이해도 못 하는 모습을 계속해서 보여줘야만 하는 상황이 됨
1위를 했음에도 정산은 받지 못했고 내가 못하는 것으로 1위를 해버렸기 때문에 앞으로도 계속 그 콘셉트를 소화해야 한다는 압박감이 너무 컸고 그런 자신을 스스로 마주하기 힘들 정도로 너무 싫었다고 함ㅠㅠ
돌이켜보면 그때 그 시절은 온통 가요계 전반에 과도한 섹시 콘셉트 붐이 불던 시기였는데 그 화려한 무대 뒤편에서 어린 나이의 아이돌들이 겪어야 했던 감정적 소모와 상처가 얼마나 깊었을지 감도 안옴🥺

Cho Doo-soon raped an 8-year-old girl. The girl lost more than 80% of the function of her genitals and anus, leaving her permanently disabled.
Prosecutors sought life imprisonment for Cho Doo-soon, but the judge reduced the sentence because he had been drinking at the time of the crime, sentencing him to 12 years in prison.
The judge was later named one of the “Outstanding Judges” selected by the Seoul Bar Association in 2020, and he now works as a lawyer specializing in sex crime cases.
He is known to promote cases in which he obtained suspended sentences for clients accused of sexual violence as “success stories,” while charging high legal fees.
