1/ Why do collectors chase key comics? Because a key is a piece of the story itself: the first time a character appears, the issue where everything changed. But most collectors judge a digital comic's significance by its IRL price. I think that's a mistake.

Alright VeVe Fam, it’s time to really push for OFFERS on @veve_official Please like and retweet if you agree. Let them know we want this! VeVe’s secondary market is still running on fixed-price listings and the occasional auction. You’ll see a grail sitting at a price that hasn’t moved in weeks or months, you know the floor is soft, and there’s no clean way to say “I’ll take it for X.” So the piece just sits. Dead volume. Dead engagement. Dead fees for the platform. Offers fix that!!! You let collectors throw a real offer at any listed collectible (or even unlisted ones if the owner opts in). Seller gets a notification, can accept, counter, or ignore. No more “hope someone hits my number.” Actual price discovery. Actual movement. People who want specific editions or low mint numbers can actually chase them instead of refreshing the same overpriced listing. This is baseline everywhere else in NFTs and even traditional collecting. OpenSea, Magic Eden, stock markets, even physical card marketplaces — offers keep markets liquid. VeVe already has waitlists, MCP priority bidding, silent auctions for artworks, and fixed listings. Adding offers is the missing piece that turns the secondary market from a classifieds board into a real two-sided marketplace. More offers = more trades. More trades = more activity in the app, more reasons for people to stay logged in, more secondary volume, and more reasons for holders to keep stacking instead of just sitting on bags. It also gives the team better data on what collectors actually value instead of just what sellers hope to get. This would also include global floor offers. The current system rewards whoever lists lowest or whoever gets lucky in an auction. Offers reward collectors who are paying attention and willing to move capital. That’s how you get real liquidity on the higher-end stuff and the long-tail editions that never move right now. Now, I know you can send a message and start a negotiation process, but this would make things so much cleaner. They already have the drop experience, the AR, the showrooms, the community features. This is the next obvious unlock for the marketplace. Ship offers and watch volume pick up. It’s that simple. @RealRandyChavez @CryptoRainn @CryptoCosmo17 @ComicsandCrypto @FosterHilt @drcollect @DrPhygital @InformMint

Great result for collectors! Now we just need to get VeVe to stop holding back the first 99 editions on their comic drops. You take UCX251 for example, with a 1000 edition run, all of the following special mints will be held back: 1 - fist mint 39 - Marvel founding 61 - Marvel era 50 - Claremont birth year 58 - Silvestri birth year 63 - X-Men 74 - Wolverine FA 89 - publication year Now granted, this will sell-out either way, and they’ll still be public mints available such as 100, 123, 251, 616, 789, 1000, BUT, IMO holding back all these special mints is not rewarding collectors. Even if VeVe insist on retain mint 1, all of those other mints really do matter.
YES! 🙌 VeVe listened! 💙 A few days ago, @OmilliTees hosted an X Space with Justin Yang, VeVe’s Director for Korea and Japan, to discuss the upcoming Speed Racer drop. I joined toward the end of the conversation and asked whether VeVe could make edition #1 the first public mint for ALL the Speed Racer vehicles, rather than just the 5/5 Mach 5 variant. At the time, the other two vehicles were scheduled to start at edition #21. Omillitees then pushed for edition #5 as the first public mint instead. Well, guess what? 🤩 VeVe took down the drop page for a couple of days, and they’ve now revealed that edition #5 will be the first public mint for the other two vehicles! Now, think about what just happened here. The head of VeVe Korea and Japan listened to feedback directly from collectors and, within a matter of days, implemented the requested change. THIS is the kind of leadership and responsiveness I love to see from VeVe! 👏 And it’s not just a symbolic change. It actually makes the drop more appealing to collectors. Knowing that our chances of landing a single-digit mint have increased dramatically, I’m now planning to buy multiple blind boxes instead of the one I originally intended to purchase. That’s a perfect example of how listening to collectors can benefit both the community AND VeVe’s bottom line. Credit where credit is due. Kudos to @OmilliTees for hosting these conversations and giving collectors a voice. And an even bigger kudos to Justin Yang for listening, taking action, and making a quick decision that benefits collectors. I’ve been vocal about the things I believe VeVe needs to improve, but I’ll be just as vocal when they get things right. This is one of those moments that makes me proud to be a VeVe collector. 💙 More of THIS, please! 🙌

Spotted something odd on @veve_official Secret Wars II #1. The drop text says the VeVe-Exclusive Ron Lim covers are Rare & Ultra Rare. But the Uncommon shows Ron Lim's art too, in full color. The UR is the same drawing with fewer colors. A mislabel? 👀

"Mourning Glory" by Gary Baseman on @veve_official. The pop surrealist behind Disney's Teacher's Pet paints a spirit in Victorian mourning dress embracing a moa, a bird lost centuries ago, among New Zealand's native birds. Grief and hope in one frame.
