I can verify from second hand sources this is true. I have heard that a Samsung/Google/Qualcomm headset will be announced during Google I/O next year. Samsung/Android vs Apple/iOS battle all over again.

The Samsung/Google/Qualcomm XR device (Project Infinite) will launch at the end of next year with a initial production run of 30,000 units Samsung Display signed a non-exclusive uOLED technology license for it. Product will be unveiled at the Samsung Unpacked event in 2H24
