It's that time again! Our next meeting is tomorrow 05.06 at the BIMSB (Hannoversche Str 28) in Seminar Room 1.04. This time we have two students from the Rajewsky lab discussing their research in spatial transcriptomics!
We hope to see you all there!
Hello comp bio aficionados! This months meeting is already around the corner! Wednesday April 3rd, 6 PM at the MPIMG (Ihnestr. 63, 14195 Berlin), join us to listen to Shahab Matin from testblu diagnostics talk about bioinformatics in liquid biopsies!
The holiday season is approaching! So is our next meeting! On Dec. 6th at 6 PM we will meet at the MDC to go to the Christmas market at Gendarmenmarkt together. All are welcome! Entry costs 1€. After this, meetings will be every other month, so look out for February!
Sorry for the last minute tweet, but the CompBio meeting is happening next Wed. Nov 1, 18:00 @ MPIMG!
Speaker: Artür Manukyan (MDC|BIMSB) - VoltRon: A Spatial Omics Analysis Platform for Multi-Resolution and Multi-omics Integration using Automated Image Registration.
Hello Twitter! A quick announcement that your favorite Berlin-based CompBio social will be on Sept 13th @ 6PM, NOT today. The location is BIMSB seminar room 1.04, and the speaker is @hetzel_s :"Versatile homology search using Lambda3’"
See you there!

Hello, world! Sorry for the delay, but the next CompBio Social is already upon us. Next Wed (26th of May) at 5 PM, join us for another two great speakers: @CamilleMrcht from the CNRS, and @krannich479 at the BIH!
Camille's presentation is titled "K-mer based data-structures for indexing sets of read sets", and Thomas will be presenting his project titled "Population-scale detection of non-reference sequence variants using colored de Bruijn Graphs".
And just like that, April is over and the next Comp Bio social is upon us! This Wednesday at 5 PM, join us to listen to talks from David Heller and Roman Schulte Sasse!
As always, feel free to message us here for the zoom link!
David's talk is titled "Structural variant calling using third-generation sequencing" and Roman's talk is titled "Integration of multiomics data with graph convolutional networks to identify new cancer genes and their associated molecular mechanisms".
Hope you are all enjoying the nice weather! This is a reminder that our March meeting is happening TODAY at 5 PM! See our previous tweets for more info about the talks, and PM us if you would like to join!
Hope everyone is having a great start to their spring! Your favorite social bioinformatics meetup is back with another meeting on Wednesday March 31st. Don't forget!
and Bettina Angela Schmidt with her talk titled "A Bayesian Estimator of the Kullback-Leibler Divergence with Nearest Neighbors for Dissimilarity Analysis of High-Thoughput Data" for the second!
