A lot of games support DirectStorage now. Very few use GPU decompression/GDeflate, though. This likely due to the fact that NVIDIA GPUs prior to the 50-series struggle with it. Perhaps Zstd will become more widely used, given its incredible CPU decompression performance.
Compression ratio can be much better for all compression methods tested here depending on the files being compressed. In Microsoft's example, it's 0.40 to 0.43.
My results after testing DirectStorage 1.4 on 5090/9800X3D. Zstd has the best compression ratio. I assume that we still don't have optimized GPU Zstd decompression drivers, so GPU Zstd decompression bandwidth is still lower than CPU Zstd. CPU Zstd BW is very close to GPU GDeflate

Good to know. Hopefully they can get that worked out soon.
For anyone wondering about which games support Advanced Shader Delivery, there is a list with some of the titles in the article below. Although it's not up-to-date (Gears of War: E-Day and COD MW4 received support today, too.)

Excellent news. NVIDIA GPUs now support Advanced Shader Delivery with the latest driver. Even better news: ASD will work on any storefront (including Steam) as long as you've got the Xbox app installed on your PC.

Haven’t tried the Pro version. The Nautilus is better than the non-pro version of the Arctic Liquid Freezer iii 360, but the difference isn’t massive. I would just go with the cheaper one.

They make great coolers. I used the older non-pro version before getting the Corsair Nautilus 360 RS, and was very happy with it.

It's just read activity though, so it won't hurt the SSD.

I disabled BypassIO, and I am actually seeing even higher SSD activity than you on my Gen5 SSD. This thing is thrashing the SSD lol. I am testing with HWInfo and a polling rate of 20ms, and I'm seeing an average of around 10x higher than yours. I might write an article on this.

I wonder how they determine the RPM. I thought it was mostly based on your audience's region/age (and I assume most of your audience is from the US.) It would be weird if it was partly based on your own region.

Interesting. If you look at the processes page, is it the actual game that's exhibiting that disk usage?

That seems too low. Is it possible that it just hasn't updated to reflect the actual revenue on the current view count? On a video I published last year that has a similar amount of views, I have $86CAD/$60USD.

You can check using this command in command prompt:
fsutil bypassIo state c:\
Replace c with which ever drive you have the game installed on.

I tried testing the disk usage but the game supports DirectStorage, and like other games that use DS, it's not reporting disk usage for me unless I disable it entirely or at least disable BypassIO. I wonder if BypassIO is enabled on the drive you have the game installed on?
