When the history of this time in @PeelSchools is written, we will never forget the great book purge of the early 2020s. Administrators will be remembered for purging thousands of books from libraries, using the excuse of creating “collaborative spaces” to sustain the purge.
The killer Myles Sanderson had 59 previous convictions, which included assaulting a cop. He had been charged with 125 crimes and had 47 cases filed against him. Yet he was given statutory release in August 2021 after serving a five-year sentence for assault, robbery, mischief, and making threats. Rather than platitudes about "healing", how about repairing the criminal justice system you tore apart which lets dangerous criminals on to our streets to kill again.

Tomorrow (Monday) the House of Commons will vote on a motion to limit debate on the 146+ amendments to C21. They think it’s taking too long to discuss what amounts to the largest gun ban in Canadian history and that it should just be rammed through.

The Liberals have given notice of a C-21 motion Monday morning. The motion will introduce time allocation for the bill and expand the scope.
If this passes, C-21 will leave #SECU this week.
Motion includes:
1) Maximum 20 minutes of debate per amendment.
2) Two 3:30pm to midnight meetings following the motion.
3) Maximum one sitting day for report stage.
4) Maximum one sitting day for third reading.
