I will mute this soon… You guys can keep fighting for white people’s rights to do stuff! 🫂
Replying to @osakajajko @avdisbskbah
Because there’s a different weight to it when a white person mimics POCs from when POCs mimic white people. Also, /I/ don’t think it’s great when POC try to whitewash themselves so…

i have those features too, i dont do trad western makeup either but shes being intentional with the looks shes recreating, its not really a look u "accidentally" achieve because she has those "desired features" she can use those techniques without looking like a jp tiktoker

By damage I mean racism. They are racist towards us, let’s say they mock our features for example. Then they turn around and try to look more Asian. Or they eat the most popular Asian foods from white chefs and spit on less “palatable” cuisine.
Replying to @conffection @marumarumisa
And if you aren’t bothered by Asian fishing, that’s good for you. But do not tell other Asians how they should feel about this.
Replying to @marumarumisa
I have explained that it’s literally way more than just the pien
Replying to @neogeo8man
Sorry, was I not clear? I just think not trying to erase your own features (like the ones I listed) would be nice…
Replying to @huw6z
Also this “why do you care about others online” argument is so tired. You are on the wrong app to be saying this.
Replying to @huw6z
Not sure what you mean by the last sentence, but I care because I have to deal with racism from white people IRL as well. I was raised hearing racist shit and it undoubtedly has left its effects on me.
Replying to @messyfishsauced
You guys need to stop applying your perceptions and interpretations of me and acting as though they are fact. I did not imply that so don’t tell me what I did and did not do.
Replying to @huw6z
If someone does pien, fakes their hair and eye colours, posts using Japanese BGM, filters and stickers, it gets a bit tricky. Especially considering the gaijin jirai that wish they were in homeless in Kabukicho. IIRC some of them even bought tickets just pretend to be toyoko kids

Hard agree on the wig, which I brought up in a discussion with someone else. Though, I will disagree that Lolita isn’t inspired by white Victorian culture. It is studied by shoujo-feminist scholars that the Japanese usually turn to Europe for escapism of Japanese culture.
Replying to @meiamoun @avdisbskbah
Because it is jirai kei, from the coord to the make to the filters and way she posts.
Replying to @huw6z
Did I say that to be Asian is to wear pien? And I simply cannot agree with you if your claim is that people don’t perceive these whites as Japanese due to their make. We are more than social media, but caucasoids don’t care for that. Am I wrong for speaking up on it?
Replying to @meiamoun @avdisbskbah
This is not Lolita fashion as someone who wears Lolita.
Replying to @neogeo8man
There isn’t “a look”. It’s just embracing darker skin tones (by ridding the shelves of skin-bleaching products and foundation shades lighter than ours), monolids (stop the lid taping), flatter and wider noses (contour) and etc
Replying to @Nkwg9q
If you dye your hair black and use black lenses and post yourself to Japanese tags, BGM and typical jirai filters that obscure your ethnic features, I think it starts to get a bit problematic, no? 🤷
