Connor Storrie has been named Best Breakout Actor in the Dallas Observer’s Best of Dallas 2026!
“The Observer was not immune to the “Heated Rivalry” hysteria that overtook the world this year, and like everyone else, we’ve been grappling for a piece of the phenomenon. Connor Storrie, the curly-haired actor who played Ilya Rozanov in the show, grew up in Odessa, Texas, which is close enough for us to claim him a hometown hero. His performance as Rozanov has received critical praise, with Storrie perfectly balancing the toughness and emotional vulnerability needed for the role. Within months of the show’s success, Storrie blew our socks while hosting “Saturday Night Live,” and he’s already been announced for a slate of new projects. We can’t wait to watch. “

April X arrives on digital platforms in the U.S. and Canada on November 3, followed by the UK on November 6!
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Viet Do discusses how he met Connor Storrie and became the actor’s business manager.
“When Connor Storrie was recommended as a client over email, Do wrote back that he thought a show about two gay hockey players made by Crave Media would only get two viewers, but he offered to represent him for free anyway. “I didn’t even see Connor was on the email. We got on the phone and he said, ‘I don’t even know what a business manager is, but I really liked your response.’ We had a four-hour conversation and he is truly one of the nicest people.”
MOST OUTLANDISH REQUEST: “Buying a generator at Lowe’s and bringing it over because the landlord accidentally shut off electric on a Friday and LADWP couldn’t get there until Monday, for Connor Storrie.””

Jacob Tierney discusses the intimacy scenes in ‘Heated Rivalry’ and his commitment to Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams’ wellbeing in a new interview with VMAN.
“Despite the show’s budget constraints, no resources are spared in preparation for the sex scenes in Heated Rivalry, which are shot as long takes with minimal coverage. “You have to do that so the audience feels permission to observe them,” Tierney says. “Seeing how one of them backs away a bit, and the other one comes forward, it tells you everything you need to know about that moment.” This makes rewatching the scenes much more interesting, too. “Watch Ilya this time,” he muses. “Next time, watch Shane.”
Tierney is equally thoughtful when asked about Storrie and Williams’s naked bodies going instantly viral amid the two-episode premiere of Heated Rivalry. “The care I take is with Connor and Hudson,” he remarks. “Those are my friends. Those are my wards. I owe them a lot. We’re intertwined. Their wellbeing and safety are very important to me.”
“We just had our intimacy rehearsals for season two,” he adds. “We went through all the stuff that we’re going to go through again, and we try to make sure that they’re really comfortable. They’re still so close, and they’re so game. They love these roles. They love doing it. They understood, from day one, that this is important.””
