The guy who launched it is Bittensor native. He knows Const, knows the subnets, and launched this as a community meme for the ecosystem. You can tell from the replies. He was transparent from the start, said what the tax does, said he wouldn’t rug, and has been in the comments ever since. He’s honest, has actual personality, and doesn’t give a fuck. That’s exactly what memes need if they’re going to grab attention and go viral.
That’s why the right rooms are talking about it. Subnet Summer TG is already on it. Jesus Martinez covered the TAO memecoin thing today. Other bigger names are starting to notice it too. Not because the chart is insane. Because the loop makes sense: buy the meme, get TAO, some of that TAO rotates into native TAO and subnets.
TAO people usually hate memes. This one is named after Const, redistributes TAO, and the whole point is getting TAO into more wallets. That’s closer to how this ecosystem actually spreads.
Still early. It needs its own dedicated Twitter and either a more professional team to CTO it, or the current owner keeps pushing and figures out what the market wants. I could be wrong on what that looks like. But if that happens, solana:oWeyEsRQa7SWRbEiW1QNxZJhwmjnefD6HGtXqKqfv3r should become the consensus TAO-paired memecoin.

The person who launched it is clearly in the Subnet trenches. This means there's a relatively good chance that he has decent technical skills and understanding of incentive mechanisms. If this is true, then he would have the capability to build some sort of creative flywheel incentive mechanism (maybe with subnets involved somehow) if he ever felt the desire to.

Someone asked what my thoughts are on memecoins around bittensor
Imo, memecoins are toxic, but they’re a part of crypto culture that you can’t really get rid of.
Everyone knows the risks involved, and it has undoubtedly created more wealth for degens than almost any other opportunity in crypto.
It brought attention and liquidity to ecosystems. We saw it with Solana, Hyperliquid, and now Robinhood.
In May, TAO went live on Solana through @taodotcom via @sunrise, and now with @LaunchOnSF , you can launch memes paired with $TAO.
Not just that, but part of the fees goes toward buying TAO, which is then airdropped to holders.
It works pretty well, we've seen it with $BUTT and with $CONST.
I admire the fact that these memes operate around incentives, kind of how Bittensor itself operates.
Plus, this brings a special kind of attention to Bittensor, especially from traders on Solana and beyond.
These are not memecoins integrated directly with the Bittensor chain, which means the mechanics of subnets and root remain intact.
Do I think Bittensor needs more attention if it wants to grow? Yes.
Do I think memecoins can bring that kind of attention to the ecosystem? Probably yes.
It’s risky, but it’s a risk every crypto trader/investor should understand by now.
I expect to see more creators launch memecoins around $TAO, and I appreciate the current creators like @Cats_CR who launched $CONST.

Mark also asked for the CA of $CONST in the comments and asked whether it operates the same way, where holders get rewarded in TAO.
Now, here’s why I’m especially bullish on $CONST.
The token was created by @Cats_CR.
Cat is an OG in the Bittensor ecosystem. I personally call him the Police of Bittensor because he has helped expose bad actors and creators who have come into the ecosystem in different forms, looking for ways to extract money from it.
That’s one of the biggest reasons I’m standing behind $CONST. The person behind it has a strong reputation in the ecosystem, especially compared to $BUTT that nobody knows who created it.
If you’re new to Bittensor and you’re looking at a subnet and want to know whether a particular team is legit, @Cats_CR is one of the people you should reach out to.
And keep in mind, @const_reborn respects what @Cats_CR has been doing in the ecosystem and considers him a friend.
I’m 100% certain that once $CONST starts approaching the $10M-$50M MC range, be prepared to see some form of positive acknowledgment from @const_reborn.
