Trump establishes a cult of personality, goes senile, becomes gay, and now Republicans all have to become gay too. Maybe it was always going to end up like this.
Senate Majority @LeaderJohnThune (R-SD) calls Sen Bernie Moreno (R-OH) "eye candy" in response to the attention Sen. Jon Husted (R-OH) has been receiving: "They both got it going on when it comes to that."

Reese's Pieces have no chocolate in them. The peanuts had their oil pressed out and a cheaper fat put back in. Sugar is first, then partially defatted peanuts, then hydrogenated palm kernel and soybean oil, then corn syrup solids. Everything after that is 2% or less, and it's the dyes, the glaze, some vanillin and a little milk. There's no cocoa anywhere. Partially defatted just means the peanuts went through a press. The peanut oil comes out one side and gets sold as peanut oil. What's left is a dry peanut flour, and that's what the center is made from, because flour holds a shape in a panning drum and doesn't go rancid. Then they put fat back in, and the fat they picked is hydrogenated palm kernel oil, which is solid at room temperature and costs less than peanut oil. You can see the swap on the panel. 38 pieces have 6 g of fat and all 6 are saturated. Peanut oil is mostly unsaturated, so that number isn't the peanut. The shell is sugar with 4 dyes and a coat of shellac.

Three months ago @AskVenice burned $9k of $VVV a day. Yesterday: $24k 🔥
New all-time high. @AskVenice burned $24,163 worth of $VVV on Monday, the first day ever above $24k and $1,208 past the Oct 15 record. Plus $402.2k in new-signup and credit revenue, $3,760 off the all-time high. On a Monday 🔥 venicestats.com/burns

This morning we are releasing the largest proof in the history of mathematics: A formalization of the Classification of Finite Simple Groups (CFSG)! Over 43 million lines of Lean, 715 papers and books, and 100 substantive fixes to the literature, this is truly an enormous theorem. Well done team!
The largest math proof in human history is now computer-verified. Today, Axiom announces a complete Lean auto-formalization of the Classification of Finite Simple Groups, the "periodic table of symmetry." About 15,000 pages, built by over 100 mathematicians across generations.

A fascinating idea from the team developing Claromers 🧬 They're tiny lab-made molecules that mimic LL-37, a defence peptide your body already makes. One end avoids water and the other is strongly positively charged. They clump into little spear-covered balls that tear open the outer membrane of germs, which is a hard trick for microbes to evolve resistence to. The self-assembly part comes from Stanford research by Annelise Barron's group. Two caveats: these are the developer's own claims, and the line about the molecules hitting "nearly the speed of light" is not real physics. It's a mechanism to watch, not a cure yet. #Biotech xitter.cf/scotchmcclure/status/2…
The drug class we are developing, Claromers, kill nearly all known germs (bacteria, viruses, fungi, and biofilms) with one simple devastating mechanism that has avoided microbial resistance for over 200 million years. Claromers mimic a natural defense peptide in the human body called LL-37. Each Claromer molecule is very small, only dozens of atoms big - about 1/3 the size of the natural peptide. It is like a spear - a destructive end and a holding shaft or tail end. The shaft side is hydrophobic, which means it is water-avoiding and does not like to touch water. The other side - the pathogen destroyer - is highly positively charged (called “cationic” in science literature), like a powerful magnet that pulls toward anything negatively charged (called “anionic” in science). Stanford bioengineering Assoc Prof Barron and colleagues wrote in a recent study of Claromers: “These amphipathic peptoids self-assembled in different ways, as determined by small-angle X-ray scattering; some adopt helical bundles, while others form core−shell ellipsoidal or worm-like micelles.” That means the groups form either short twisted bundles, like worms, or small oval shapes like a football. 🏈 The self-assembly into these nano structures I. the watery fluids of the body because the water-avoiding shaft-tails point inward toward each other , away from the water. The positive pathogen-killer ends stick outward like sharpened spears. The molecules stick together on their own into tight groups. These groups attack like a three-dimensional Greek phalanx, a tight formation of soldiers. Like a football made of spears. The spears face out. Because each molecule is so tiny its mass is almost zero. When the positive killer ends feel the pull of the germ’s outer covering they accelerate from standing still to nearly the speed of light with almost no friction, like lightning bolt ⚡️ leaping towards the pathogen. The killer-football formation hits all at once the with huge kinetic energy and blows apart the outer membrane of the pathogen. The germ cannot survive. It is destroyed in a microsecond. Barron and colleagues also wrote: “While self-assembly correlated overall with antibacterial efficacy... Certain self-assembled morphologies seem better-suited for antibacterial activity.” The football 🏈 hits harder. We choose the super effective oval shapes that mass the spears for the strongest hit.

venice is one of the few AI companies where you aren't guessing about the firm's revenue, dealing with adjusted EBITDA, or the financial hooplah private companies are able to get away with. the data is verifiable. on-chain. @ErikVoorhees says annual revenue is now above $150M and daily token demand is above 500B. venice also passed 5M users on October 19, and the company says it has been profitable since Q1 2026. the burn payments on base from October 1 to 17 and got about $123M a year in implied sales, with 81% coming from API credits instead of consumer subscriptions. that is below the $150M claim, so the chain data does not confirm it, but it lands in the same range. $VVV does not own any of that revenue. what it gets is a burn Venice sizes itself, about 10% of the $150M figure in early October, split between automatic burns on each sale and one discretionary burn a month. emissions were cut to 2M VVV a year on October 1, down from 14M at launch, but supply is still growing because burns offset only about a quarter of new minting. VVV trades around $25 with a $1.2B circulating market cap, close to the $1B valuation of Venice's $65M series a in july. venice has said larger burns become feasible once it owns its compute, but it has not given a date or a size.

"Iran's missile stockpile is running low." "They aren't building missiles anymore." That’s what many experts claimed during the war. Meanwhile, Iran launched 100+ ballistic missiles in the past week just for drill practice.
The IRGC is carrying out new ballistic missile test launches near Tabriz, northwestern Iran.

🚀Excited to announce Nanbeige4.3-33B! To push the performance ceiling of small agents, our strategy in Nanbeige4.3 starts with building a powerful teacher first. Nanbeige4.3-33B delivers SOTA agentic performance among open models at ~30B parameters: * Strong results on agentic coding and cowork benchmarks. * When integrated into mainstream agent harnesses, it tackles real-world tasks with cost-efficient inference. * It will serve as a teacher for upcoming smaller Nanbeige models, starting with Nanbeige4.3-3B. huggingface.co/Nanbeige/Nanb… huggingface.co/Nanbeige/Nanb… #LLM #Agent
