I don't trust "all-knowing" Christians who never learn anything new or change their mind on anything. That well is far too deep for any one lifetime, and if one goes years without discovering anything new/exciting or getting more clarity on something, there's a problem.
From a convo w/ a brother ( didn't want to re-type )
Replying to @bajaturbo
It's tough to accept and submit to a sovereign God who providentially ordains all things. Since the garden, man has continually longed for control and co-authorship. It's like a hard candy.. a bit tough at first, but SO sweet once you get to the inside.
"If God doth not actually govern it (the world), it is either because He cannot, or because He will not" - S. Charnock
Neither true... thus we assert God providentially governs the world, ordaining all things. ( Rom.11:36, Dan.4:35, Isa.46:9-10, Eph.1:11, Ps.135:6, Prov.16:33..)
Great advice for Christians with young daughters...
Fathers, telling a young male taking your daughter out on a date that you’ll “be on the front porch polishing your gun until they get back” does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to deter him from making the moves on her.
Guys would die for that. Tired threats aren’t fatherhood, it’s laziness cloaked in bravado.
When it comes to our daughters, men: be their biggest source of protection and care, remind them of their worth in the eyes of their Creator, invest your time in them (they are your dreams now), pray mightily with & for them, study the Word with & in front of them, & love her/their mama tenaciously so they see who is & is not worthy of their love.
I'm sure of a few things
** My theology is biblical/correct on the crucial things- (Salvific issues).
** My assurance of salvation.
On both, I honestly believe the entire world could tell me I'm wrong, and I would not waver.
This is part of what I think He meant by "free indeed".
The more certain a "Christian" is that God didn't choose them before the foundation but instead, they freely chose God, the more certain I am that they got the first part of that correct.
Someone rebuked P. Washer (and JMac) for causing people to doubt assurance of salvation... and while they may do that, it's with good reason.
Here's the deal- If ANYONE can shake your faith in what the Holy Spirit has testified to you about (Rom 8:16), you had no true assurance.
This! This right here...
The Calvinist is the man who has seen God, and is filled on the one hand with a sense of his own unworthiness…and much more as a sinner, and on the other with adoring wonder that nevertheless this God is a God who receives sinners.

I'm a very analytical person... but I quickly realized how annoying analytical people can be, so I learned to throttle it and largely keep it to myself. Thus, my annoyance rate has been reduced by 43.7% if my calculations are correct.🙂
Has anybody checked on Provisionists lately? They've been strangely absent. It seems like they took their ball and went home shortly after D'Souza's embarrasing debate. Don't get me wrong- my X is better w/o them in it, but I wonder if Flowers ordered a cease and desist.
Christian- Some truths to remember...
This is not your home.
You're just passing through.
This life is but a vapor compared to eternity.
The following is true-
MAGA dying.
Darline never a good idea.
Trump should've stayed out of SC politics.
Trump should've finished off Iran quickly.
It's the economy stupid.
People vote pocketbooks.
Vance (and Rubio) chances to be next Prez.? - MUCH lower now.
DeSantis is the man.
A brother recently commented on something with the popular phrase "It is what it is." and it got me thinking. Going forward I will be expressing that same sentiment as -
It is what it is because God ordained it." ...
Sure, it's longer and not as catchy, but way more accurate.🙂
True- Christ' teachings re man is mostly about weakness, submission, bearing persecution, and sacrifice. When speaking of power, our Lord was almost exclusively referencing God alone.
I remind myself/ other Christians fearing Americas "ship" is sinking and we're doomed.. Jesus asks
"Where is your faith?"
God hasn't stopped being sovereign. He isn't panicking... and He has promised that ultimately He will use even this for your good.
I believe, help my unbelief
Tonights election results make it a great time to be a believer in Gods absolute sovereignty and providence. Conservative "free willys" must be losing their minds.
IYKYK... or in biblical terms -"He who has ears, let him hear!"
