Really like Tarun’s analysis of the trade-off within today’s lending paradigm: liquidity is pre-approved to fund eligible debt at par—$1 lent for $1 of debt.
But what if we change that assumption? Let debt trade at a market price: when demand weakens, the same debt raises less cash.
That’s the direction we’re exploring with @covenantFi : tranche collateral into junior equity and tradable senior debt. Keep credit risk isolated, while sharing liquidity for trading the debt.
