Homeowners should be aware of the new fees, as of 1st April these have increased from £258 to £528. The Planning Portal (a private entity used to submit applications) has a fee of £85, that makes a total of £613. Previously £328 and before that, £172.
Merely a brief comment to say that we are very pleased with the performance increases provided by the latest version of @SketchUp Pro. Credit due to the developers working hard behind the scenes, thank you.
We are fairly cautious when recommending smart home related devices, as they either they're either 'fly by night' products or have privacy concerns. The two we currently trust are @LocalBytesShop and @shelly_IoT when combined with @home_assistant.

The Planning Portal used for submitting Planning and Building Applications is increasing the fee from May 2023. The new fee will be £64, up from £32.20.
In some boroughs & districts it is still possible to complete a paper application and avoid this fee.
