A transformative investment in the future of our students. 🎓 Algoma University is honoured to receive a $1.5 million gift from the Joyce Family Foundation, establishing a new renewable bursary program for first-year local students who demonstrate financial need and personal resilience. Through this generous gift, 12 students will receive $5,000 per year toward their studies, for up to four years. The bursaries are designed to help students who may face barriers to post-secondary education, including First Nations, Métis and Inuit students and first-generation learners. The gift reflects a shared commitment to ensuring that access to higher education is not determined by circumstance, while creating opportunities that can have a lasting impact on students, their families and our region. Thank you to the Joyce Family Foundation for this extraordinary investment in Algoma University students and for continuing Ron Joyce’s legacy of creating opportunities for young Canadians. We are incredibly grateful for your confidence in our students and their potential. ❤️
