Income transparency is something I've always valued sharing — the good months and the not-so-good ones. Lately I've noticed something interesting watching other UGC creators (and friends) post their numbers too: it's not universal. Some months I'm up, some friends are down. Some are having their best month yet, while I'm having my lowest. There's no industry-wide rhythm to it. That said, a couple caveats. There is some consistency around quarter timing (start/end of quarter can shift things for everyone at once). And low months don't always come out of nowhere — a lot of the time, the effort you put in is directly reflected in what you get out. That's true for me right now — my July was my lowest since last August because I haven't had the capacity to put in the effort I normally would. Life has a lot going on — 24 weeks pregnant, my 2yo's 3rd surgery — so less output makes sense right now. But if you're someone putting in all the effort and still had a lower month — know that's probably just an ebb and flow, not a reflection of you or your work. It happens to everyone at some point, without a clear reason why. #ugc #ugccommunity
