Are you ready for the worst international umpiring decision you have ever seen? Steve Dunne, breathe easy, you may pass on the mantle at last.

Yahoo calls this a glitch, but it’s not. It’s deliberate rigging by the ICC, in advance, to give India an advantage. It’s not even fair on India. It implies they can’t win without help, and gives everyone else a reason to play down their achievements.

The amount of shopping one is taken to do on the first cricket-free days of September is absolutely wild. I’m in my third geographically-distinct town centre of the weekend and it’s not yet lunchtime on Sunday.
It was a very difficult pitch to bat on for long periods. But I’m not convinced that makes it a poor pitch. For me, a poor pitch should mean batting was a lottery. And it wasn’t. It rewarded those who met it with the best approach and technique.
Rather wild: @zaltzcricket takes a dig at @davidwarner31, who claps back by taking a dig at … @marnus3cricket.
A further investigation. Closure? Well, not quite. There is no reference to the apparently false claim by England Over 60s that the individual under scrutiny had a perfect disciplinary record over 50 years. A claim on which the World Cup organisers based the penalty given.

Following the incident during the England vs India Over-60s fixture in Canada, the Seniors County Cricket Championship has conducted its own internal investigation and has released a statement.

I think seven of today’s Glamorgan team were born outside England and Wales. Is that a record for a county team? Must be close.
It's interesting that Brydon Carse has been dropped by England (for whom he is not playing), but not by Durham (who are playing Gloucestershire today). They appear to be treating him differently over the same incident.
England Over-60s team told IMC that they have been monitoring one of their players’ behaviour since he was 10 years old, and that his record is unblemished. But @charlie_gresty produces an email showing the player served a two-week suspension just five years ago.
The International Masters Cricket Over-60s World Cup Judiciary Panel and England 60s Cricket can now release the following statements, relating to the incident from the India v England match.

You’re playing for England Over 60s against India Over 60s. You’re given out lbw but you think you hit it. What do you do? The answer: stand your ground for 15 minutes until the umpire reverses his decision. Yes, 15 minutes. Video here: youtu.be/-QKkWXuAGMU?is=lLUy…

Today marks 5 years since the Taliban regained power in Afghanistan. Since then, women and girls have been forced to live under devastating and dangerous restrictions
I spoke to @khalida_popal who fled Afghanistan 15 years ago and continues to fight

I do not want to receive government emergency alerts telling me to watch my behaviour. I have received it five times this evening. I thought the point of this system was to alert us to an active emergency — not to teach us how to avoid one.
This evening, an Emergency Alert has been sent to people across England and Wales as the wildfire risk remains very high. The request came directly from Fire and Rescue Services.
I was in Stourbridge today and saw first-hand the devastating impact these fires have had on people’s homes and lives.
Our priority now is to keep everyone safe and prevent more fires from starting.
During this period of extreme heat, I’m asking everyone to take extra care. Please do not light any fires in gardens, the countryside or other open spaces, including parks, moorland and wooded areas.
Our firefighters and emergency responders are working around the clock in incredibly difficult conditions.
We can all help them. Please take the Emergency Alert seriously and follow the guidance in place.
What a sentence.
A great @WisdenAlmanack moment from the 1935 edition. I suppose that these days they'd abandon the match in such circumstances. No such wokery then, of course.
Ach, Danny Reuben is moving on. An absolutely top-notch media man, and an utter pleasure to work with whenever I was on England duty. Brilliant at his job. Good luck to him.
They say all good things must come to an end.
After 10 unforgettable years with the England Men's cricket team, it's time for me to move on to pastures new.
Looking back, it's hard to believe the journey has included 123 Test matches and 244 white-ball internationals. When I joined the ECB in 2016, I wanted to make a difference - to help make our players more accessible, more engaging and more open. I hope, in some small way, I've done that.
It has been an incredible privilege to serve English cricket and to work at the sharp end of the international game. There have been unforgettable highs, challenging moments and plenty of pressure along the way, but I wouldn't change a second of it. Representing the game and the Three Lions has been an honour.
There are far too many people to thank individually, but to every player, coach, colleague and member of support staff I've worked alongside over the past decade - thank you. Watching so many people grow, succeed and create memories that will last a lifetime has been one of the most rewarding parts of the job.
To my colleagues across the ECB and throughout the wider game, thank you for your friendship, support and partnership. I've been fortunate to work with some exceptional people whose passion and professionalism make our sport what it is.
To the broadcasters, journalists, photographers and media teams - thank you too. We are fortunate to have such a dedicated and talented media landscape covering cricket. Your commitment to telling the stories of our game, celebrating its successes and scrutinising it when needed has helped keep cricket at the heart of the sporting conversation. It has been a pleasure working with so many of you.
For now, it's time to enjoy some quality time with family and friends before thinking about what comes next.
Thank you, English cricket. It's been the privilege of a lifetime, and I'll leave with memories and friendships that will stay with me forever.
I'm excited to see what the next chapter brings.
Thank you…
