46 years ago, as a sixth former I used to help Y7 pupils who struggled with reading. In retirement, I have returned to that world as a reading volunteer in a local primary school.

Can anyone help me find a book I loved as a child. It’s set in WWII; Switzerland, maybe. There’s the name Anya in it. A German soldier who isn’t all bad. A boy who makes tiny models from bread dough. R/Ts appreciated @_Reading_Rocks_ @MrTs_NQTs @Toriaclaire @MenTeachPrimary
I’m currently booking in the dental / medical/ haircut appointments needed during the summer holidays, plus car checkups and household maintenance- and I have concluded that the term ‘holidays’ is inaccurate- I hereby rename those summer weeks as ‘MAINTENANCE BREAK’.
Today I will be meeting one of our ECTs for September for the first time - well, not really, she left Y13 six years ago and will be returning to us as a year 2 ECT #ECTmentor @MrTs_NQTs
