After the @binance hack and countless others, I think it's time we rethink instant crypto withdrawals.
Why are we automating billions in withdrawals with little time for proper verification?
Traditional finance moves slowly for a reason.
@BitMEX used to process withdrawals once every 24 hours. We don't need 24 hours. But we don't need instant either.
Set clear expectations. Add proper checks.

The @binance hack is likely related EIP-7702 which exposes a much bigger problem with EIP-7702.
The attacker used signed authorizations to turn Binance wallets into programmable accounts, then ran malicious code to drain the funds.
No stolen private keys required.
The signing system itself became the attack vector.
The real question: who authorized the malicious delegate contract?

🇨🇦 Canada is proposing new stablecoin rules.
1:1 reserves, proper custody, redemption rights. All reasonable.
But there's a $25K annual regulatory base fee even for small issuers, plus audits and compliance costs.
I hope we don't make stablecoin issuance a business only big players can afford.

Two very different nations but so similar in a way!
🚨🇰🇵 Rumors swirl that Kim Jong-un has died, Kim Yo-jong has taken over, and 9,000 Chinese troops have deployed.
While the North Korea news remains unverified, it draws sharp contrasts to Mojtaba Khamenei’s ongoing, absolute disappearance in Iran - highlighting a bizarre parallel in autocratic leadership vacuums.

Billions in AI investments, but no electricity.
You can hype AI valuations. You can’t hype megawatts into existence.

As a Bitcoiner I never fully trusted the NSA’s elliptic curves. Their mysterious parameters didn’t help.
Claude just traced their origins in under 30 minutes. No ECDSA break. No backdoor found.
But AI just answered a question cryptographers debated for 25 years.

1,900 @github accounts compromised. 30,000 repositories targeted.
And the attackers didn’t need to break any encryption.
They just stole developer credentials and turned GitHub Actions into a secret-stealing machine.
The biggest security vulnerability could be your own deployment pipeline.

Imagine getting hacked because someone paid to show you an ad.
No clicks. No downloads. Just an ad.
Turns out the internet's advertising infrastructure is pretty useful for delivering spyware too.

A reminder that even the most advanced satellite network still has a very old vulnerability: physical access.
Sometimes you don't need a hacker. Just a lighter.
Guess who is behind it?

I’m bullish on AI, but not necessarily on the economics behind it.
The IMF is now warning about an AI market correction.
Building intelligence is one thing. Making enough money to justify trillions in infrastructure is another.

Yet almost nothing on cryptography.

AI find vulnerabilities faster than humans can patch them.
Then the answer probably isn’t slow down vulnerability discovery. It’s to automate remediation too.
