Today marks the official start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Mexico set to face South Africa in the opening match at 20 : 00HRS (UTC+1). The second match will be played in the early hours of tomorrow at 03 : 00HRS (UTC+1), as South Korea take on the Czech Republic. Unfortunately, the kickoff times for many of the matches are not favourable for fans in the Eastern Hemisphere(Africa etc). As for today's opener, much of Africa will be backing Mexico.
