So incredibly proud of this amazing group of students. Sad to see them leave the lab, but so excited for what is next for them 🥹🎓👏

Today @CalStateLA dedicated a statue of me in front of the Physical Education building, created by the incredible artist @hanlonstudio.
What an honor.
Thank you to the entire Cal State LA family and community for all you did to make this project happen.

My fav part of being a Prof.: attending commencement. Tearing up as the Dean asked for all the first gen students to stand up (90% of them) and hearing the pride of their friends& family attending. I was especially proud of @Eddie_Barragan_, so excited for what lies ahead of you!
Lots of fun with our new LI-600 @Eddie_Barragan_ @BrownNaturalist & Karli M.
Really glad I got to join @cscoffoni5 and her lab this Monday at the CA Botanic Garden learning how to measure leaf physiology on numerous California native plants! And the best part… no visitors! So we had the entire garden to ourselves! 😁
