The U.S. Department of Energy (@ENERGY) has awarded @GeorgiaTech researchers a $4.6 million grant to develop improved cybersecurity protection for renewable energy technologies.
Assoc. Professor Saman Zonouz (@szonouz) will lead the project and leverage the latest artificial technology (AI) to create Phorensics. The new tool will anticipate cyberattacks on critical infrastructure and provide analysts with an accurate reading of what vulnerabilities were exploited.

The end of an era in BGP.
The US Dept of Defense is almost exclusively routed through AS721, which up until recently was almost exclusively transited by AS209.
At 21:16 UTC on Oct-8, the last few hundred routes were transitioned over to AS3356 as AS209 heads for the scrapyard.
