The duality of baseball is that this is at once the pinnacle of the season, but also the nadir of the season. No baseball for awhile one way or another.
Today the Brewers are World Champs.
But one day my A’s will hang the banner too. Until then, congrats to all of Wisconsin.

If you’re okay with three true outcome baseball that’s fine I guess. But it’s a better game with a variety of different offensive strategies that work.

Not sure it would be the same in each stadium. It would also increase game times. But this is the next best thing vs. lowering the pitching mound.

Summerlin is pretty nice. That’s where I’d live if I was there.
The more that I think about limiting outfield shifting the more I like it compared to the other ideas of forcing SP innings minimums, especially given the early AFL results.

Taco Bell not doing “Steal a Base, Steal a Taco” for the World Series is a recession indicator.
If revenue disparity is an owner problem, then why when the list of biggest spending MLB teams comes out yearly, the Royals never top the list? It’s always an LA or NY team. Maybe market size is the real problem.

It sure seems like when there's a national campaign of racial profiling targeting a certain demographic, it's unpopular with that demographic

I took Forbes' reported team revenues in 2025, subtracted luxury tax payroll in 2026, and then subtracted the average difference (estimates average fixed costs) multiplied by a cost of living factor for each metro area.
This, I believe, gives the true "cheap" teams list...

Shifting money from the Dodgers to the Royals is a de facto cap either way. They won’t just have less revenue and spend the same on players. A real system codifies this so there are actual rules.
They didn’t create the problem of large markets and higher revenue being a function of higher population levels near those areas.
