Miter raised a $40M Series B, and we celebrated the only way we knew how: we drove a big purple van from SF to NYC to visit as many customers as possible. It's time to build!

The Check team should feel proud about putting customers first and handling a perilous situation with preparation, agility, generosity, and constant communication. It has made a big difference with our customers and their teams.
The highest priority for every payroll company is to ensure the employees you serve get paid on time. I’m incredibly proud that, despite SVB’s collapse, everyone Check serves was paid before the end of the day yesterday.

Cloud valuations are...not great. And they were never a great way to measure the health of the Cloud anyway. That’s why in this year's report we’re introducing the Centaur (or maybe Cent-ARR?), a new club for $100M ARR SaaS businesses. @BessemerVP bessemervp.team/3MQhbjh

With $1T+ flowing into public infrastructure in the coming years, we urgently need to: 1. Define what construction productivity means 2. Adopt the tools necessary to measure productivity (@MiterHR) 3. Hold funding agencies accountable 4. Increase access to public works projects
How will we know whether the $1 trillion infrastructure bill will have worked or not? What metrics should we be looking at? China puts forth concrete goals, then you can come back and say it was or wasn't accomplished. Is accountability a completely foreign concept to us?

It's hard to fix something you can't measure! The first step is digitizing timesheets, payments, and job costing. @MiterHR
Has construction productivity really declined? In the first post in a new series, I take a look at many of the issues involved in measuring construction productivity, and conclude: Yes, it really has declined. noahpinion.substack.com/p/wh…

B2B Marketplaces are on the rise again. The last time this happened it was the year 2000. This time it should end better! bit.ly/2T9zZ30

B2B commerce is massive ($100T+) and largely offline. At @BessemerVP, we're excited to partner with founders building the next generation of B2B marketplaces. bit.ly/b2bmarketplaces
With an annual global B2B spend that surpasses $100 trillion, B2B markets are many times larger than B2C markets, and they're often offline. Partner @kentbennett explains in Bessemer's latest roadmap why we're captivated by this emerging software category. bit.ly/b2bmarketplaces
