Hutto, Texas City Council has directed staff to compare costs for a three-vehicle test of @Tesla Cybertrucks for the Hutto Police Department, after Council member Jerrel Reynolds bought one in April and found its fuel and maintenance costs to be low. The Las Vegas Police Department has 10 Cybertrucks in its fleet (pictured below), Reynolds said, and he suggested the city reach out to that department for more information. “I think this is the future," Mayor Mike Snyder said. Each Police Cybertruck is expected to save the Las Vegas PD $9,500 a year in fuel and maintenance costs alone. It's the #1 most American-made police truck.

Cybertruck is a great Police vehicle low cost per mile tough can idle without polluting the neighborhood super performance plenty of accessory power for all those lights can even provide power in case of a local outtage

Former ford driver and I’ll never go back. This thing is faster, safer more durable tows better(unless you’re regularly towing over 100 miles a day) drives itself way better ride and handling it’s not a contest. And I saved $650 on gas just last month. No oil changes far less maintenance overall. It’s not a contest

Cybertruck is a work station and a power station, ready to get you to the job anywhere on the property. Having mobile 240amp service is one of those things that you can’t appreciate until you have it. All vehicles have pros and cons, but Cybertruck pros are off the grid.

For those not aware, NASA certified the Cybertruck as an Astronaut Emergency Egress Vehicle, allowing SpaceX to replace their aging MRAPs. If something goes wrong on the pad, the crew needs to get as far away as possible, as quickly as possible, and Cybertruck provides that speed and protection. A NASA spokesperson said that both the agency and SpaceX "assessed the capability of the vehicle for all situations that would be encountered in an emergency and found that the Cybertruck met NASA’s requirements."
